Where There's A Wil, There's A Way

Simon Wilbraham was the undoubted star of the show with thirteen scores of a ton or more for Legends Lounge in a 7-4 Plymouth City Super League Division B win at Hyde Park.

Wilbraham was a 3-2 winner in the individual phase with his 16 darter proving to be crucial in deciding the destination of the double-yew.

Wilbraham was well supported in the win by Will Broome who netted ten ton plusses whilst Ben Welsh was influential for the defeated home side.

Twelve tons and an 89 checkout illuminated Welsh's night and that checkout pushed a Jacob Bentham 77 kill into second best.

Leaders of the section, Cherry Tree D, continued their dominance with an 8-3 success over Kings Tamerton A, a game that was dominated by the arm of Nick Bryant.

Bryant put up a twelve ton plus tally that contained his team's only 180 and also added an 18 dart leg during a 3-0 individual success.

That leg was only bettered by Danny Hoyle who checked in 17 during a 3-0 win that also contained his team's only maximum.

Bryant's teammate Stan Preen showed one moment of brilliance with an 84 combination out shot that wasn't bettered by any of the twelve competitors on display.

Paul Freeman's ten tons provided the only resistance to Cherry Tree B who bagged a 10-1 away win at Kings Tamerton B.

Highlights for the victors came from Kev Doel who checked 107 in a single visit and Paul Hoare who added the only 180 of the game.

The Fawn derby match between A and B ended in a 7-4 win for the former with Dave Roberts providing the only maximum of the contest.

Roberts also walked away with a 17 dart leg in his 3-0 singles win whilst there was two notable checkouts in the narrow contest.

John Brady fired a 77 combo which was only bettered by a 90 kill from Roberts' teammate Mike Trim as the designated home side for the night got their second win of the stop start campaign.

The only moment of magic in Victory's 6-5 win over Duchy A was a Phil Hoskin 180 whilst Kings Arms A cleaned up 11-0 at Duchy B with a Danny Phythian 113 checkout taking the best finish of both the match and week.

Anna Pearce heard 'game shot' called after throwing 17 darts in a 3-0 win during St Levans 11-0 win over Herbert that also contained a 99 checkout Pearce's teammate Mark Hopkins.
