Wheatley Neatly Dispatches 1001 Leg

Richard Wheatley's (26.34) 38 dart 1001 singles leg was unbeaten across all four fixtures that were played in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League.

That leg helped reigning champions Tradesmans A to an 11-2 victory that puts them twelve behind the leaders with a game in hand.

Mike O'Brien and Nick Dodd were also both prominent for the Stonehouse team as they hit their team's only maximum and a 99 checkout respectively; the latter taking the league's weekly big finish prize.

Queen and Constitution were also winners with points into double figures as they handed a 10-3 defeat to Tradesmans B.

Andrew Nation led the way in scoring with ten tons but still found himself on the wrong side of a 10-3 defeat as Kings Tamerton took the spoils.

That victory was helped along by maximums from Paul Sanders and Keith Blight (25.03) who also won his individual 1001 game in just 40 darts.

Martin Dean added the game's only maximum as Ker St B whitewashed their Devonport rivals and the league's bottom side, The Lugger, 13-0.

Nick Bromley also showed some sharp shooting at the business end of legs as he checked out 77 in a single visit to the board to help the away side pile on the points.
