What A Mann!
John Mann (32.67) was at his majestic best with legs in 17, 14 and 15 darts in a 3-0 win for the Steve Chapman 501 League reigning champions Fawn B at Duchy.
One of the three maximums in the clash topped Mann's ton tally up to the ten mark with the other three treble visits coming from Sean Taylor and Gareth Harper.
Mann was supported well in the scoring by Simon Washington who also added a ten ton haul which included the best checkout of 126.
That Washington effort bettered a 109 three darter from Fred Goldsmith whilst Jack McMinn also showed why he's a valuable asset to the league leaders with 17 darter in his 3-0 win.
A breathtaking performance by Lee Hellings included sixteen scores of a ton or more to lead Cherry Tree C to a 7-4 success over Victory A.
Hellings added a 121 checkout to that tally and paired with Melvyn German to put together a fine 601 leg in just 19 darts.
Hellings (28.90) went on to put on a 12 darter in a 3-0 singles win that was one of four excellent performances individually.
Teammate Nick Miller netted two maximums in the team phase of play and added a leg in 18 during his 3-1 singles win.
Kelvin Rowe put up a trio of 180s and a 15 darter in a 3-1 before Luke Johnson fired a 16 dart leg which proved crucial in a 3-2 triumph.
Dave Lee and Melvyn German had mixed result when hitting a 180 in their individuals with a 3-2 for the former and a 3-0 loss for the latter.
Three of the four 180s in a 10-1 success for Cherry Tree B went the way of the victors as Mark Shears brace was added to by a solitary effort from Paul Gavican.
Lee Rodmell fired a riposte whilst Shears' teammate Scott Wapshott put his name to fourteen three figure visits for the home team.
Mark Hatherley was a thirteen ton hitter for Indian Inn but he still saw his side succumb to Cherry Tree D by an 8-3 score line.
That result owed much to the form of trio Cam O'Brien, Martin Pearson and Steve Towl who all walked away from the oche with a ten ton haul to their name.
O'Brien's tally was topped up to that mark with both of the 180s in the match whilst teammate Chris Harper nailed a 148 combo for the best checkout of both the match and game week.
A brace of 17 darters from Hatherley couldn't stop Pearson from claiming a 3-2 win over the former Devon star whilst O'Brien showed he's more than just scoring with a 14 darter in his 3-0 win.
Twelve tons from Dan Brazier made a dent in the scoring phase but that effort couldn't stop Cherry Tree A from losing 7-4 at St Levans.
Brazier's teammates Will Broome and Luke Beard both added 180s in the contest whilst most of the good work at the business end came from the arm of Mike Pearce for the victors.
Pearce netted a 133 combination out shot that bettered Beard's 117 and helped him to a 3-2 win over Beard in the individual phase.
Pearce checked legs in 14 and 18 darts and ended that contest with an overall ton tally of eleven for his night's work.
Earlier in the contest, Pearce also teamed with Harry MacGregor to put away 601 points in just 20 darts thrown at the board.
Ten tons from Dave Barton and a maximum from the arm of Dave Clemson couldn't arrest Fawn A's slide to a 9-2 loss at the hands of Kings Arms.
Lewis Byrne top scored with ten tons to lead King Billy to a 10-1 win at The Exchange in which teammate Scott Cook fired an 18 dart leg in a 3-0 triumph.
Kieran Harris showed his class with an 11 darter and a 180 for Victory Hammers in a 7-4 win over Tradesmans, for whom Mitchell Grimshaw bagged a 94 combination out.
A total of five 180s were added in an 8-3 win for Octagon over Victory Fireballs with Chris Edgecombe's brace adding to one from Alfie Ford to give the victors the lion's share of the quintet.
Both aforementioned players checked in 17 darts during respectively 3-0 singles wins whilst the maxis from the away side came from AJ Brunton and Phil Ingram to join a 95 kill from teammate Chris Beale.
Checkouts of 96 and 85 by Jason Smout and Beau Carter respectively were not enough to stop Beacon Park from falling to a 6-5 loss at Firkin Scholar.
