Roberts survived a 103 checkout by opponent Mark Sleet in that narrow triumph whilst Roberts' teammate Glenn Halford contributed eleven tons to help his team over the line.

Andrew Cook's eleven ton plus haul for the defeated team included one of two maximums for his team with Paul Goundry adding the other.

That effort ticked Goundry's ton tally over to the ten mark whilst another ten ton hitter came from the victors as Glenn Austin achieved that particular feat.

Mike Whatley bagged himself eleven scores of a ton or more but still found himself on the wrong side of the match result as Cherry Tree A suffered a last gasp 6-5 defeat.

Danny Bull was the hero of the hour during a 3-0 triumph that came when throwing in the eleventh and final rubber of the match whilst teammate Leighton Wilson fired a 91 checkout that wasn't bettered by anyone.

Chrissie Kinnaird held her nerve to steer Octagon A over the line by a 6-5 score line thanks to her 3-2 individual triumph that came when playing last.

Kinnaird's team remarkably recovered from 5-1 down to come away with a narrow victory that saw each team add a 180 and a ton plus checkout.

Sean Burkitt's 180 was countered by one from James Nicholls whilst Frankie Stout's 103 combination had to settle for second best as Paul Hendy checked 131 in a single visit.
