Wapshott's individual win over Paul Palmer produced some fabulous stuff with Wapshott's 18 and 15 darters bettering Palmer 3-2 despite Palmer nailing a leg in 17 of his own.
Palmer heard scores of a ton or more called after throwing no fewer than fourteen times overall whilst Paul Gavican was also in good nick with eleven three figure scores despite ending on the defeated side.
Scott Cook's 128 three dart combination outshot was only beaten by a magnificent 135 by Lee Doncaster who put that one away in the final tie of the match.
Doncaster won that game 3-1 with the scores tied at 5-5 and finished his night on ten tons, but was only the third best in the scoring stakes for his side.
Antony Hayman took the accolade as top scorer with fifteen scores of a ton or more including one of two maximums for his side; Paddy Archibald plundering the other.

Dave Hollow top scored for Colebrook with thirteen tons but still found himself on the end of a hiding as leaders and champions elect Octagon won out 10-1.
John Mann (26.37) was the best individual performer of the emphatic win as he claimed a 15 darter in his 3-0 singles win to go alongside ten tons for his night.
Mann's ton total was topped up by two of the four maximums in the match with teammate Fred Goldsmith adding to a solitary effort by Will Broome for the defeated side.
Mann was joined on ten tons by Alfie Ford whilst Quinton Taylor went one better when hearing scores of a ton or more called no fewer than eleven times.
The pairs phase really lit up the contest with Mann and Taylor (29.32) taking the first game of 601 doubles 2-0 thanks to legs in 22 and 19 darts.
Hollow and his teammate Andy Bond put together a 17 dart leg over the same distance in a 2-1 loss whilst Goldsmith and Neil White checked in 20 darts during the third duos success for the hosts.
Taylor then opened up the individual phase with a 17 darter over the 501 format during his 3-0 win before White produced during the second.
White was a 3-0 winner thanks to a pair of 18 dart legs and a 113 checkout that was the best finish of the contest.
Lee Hellings finished his night with a 3-0 win that saw his best coming in 17 darts before Mann rounded off the blistering win with his aforementioned heroics.
Dale Halford's eleven scores of a ton or more included a 136 checkout that helped Halford to a 3-1 individual success during a 6-5 win for Bluebird B at Victory.
Halford's teammate Wayne Oddie was the hero of the hour as he claimed a 3-1 success with the scores tied at 5-5 when last on in the singles phase.
Chris Beale was the best performer for the defeated home side with his ten tons and a 98 checkout setting the world alight.
Ten tons from Dave Pethick led Fawn A to a 6-5 success over Cherry Tree A; a game that saw Pethick's 105 checkout top three other ton plus finishes to the highest kill of the night.
James Hughes banged two of those with 102 and 100 combinations adding to his ten tons overall, whilst Hughes' leg in 17 during a 3-0 win was the best leg of 501 in the match.
Pethick's teammate Dave Roberts fired the other three figure out with a 104 three darter settling for second best.
There was also a 180 a piece for either side as Nick Miller replied for the defeated visitors to a maximum by Mark Hempsall.
George Beckett still has a share of the individual lead after his 3-0 win came last on during a 6-5 win for Steampacket over Indian Inn.
That success came with one of the two maximums in the tie as Adam Fell fired one of his own for the opposition whilst Beckett's teammate Reece Goves added a 70 checkout for the best kill of the match.
