Too Many Cooks Spoil The Beacon Park

Scott Cook's (27.83) explosive performance in the individual phase of King Billy's 9-2 Steve Chapman 501 League win against Beacon Park was a sight to behold.

Cook netted two 16 dart legs and a checkout of 121 in a 3-0 individual success that ended with him on an eleven ton tally that included one of the three maximums in the game.

Cook's teammate and sibling Andrew Cook checked a leg with a 100 finish, which added to his impressive twelve ton plusses overall.

Andrew Cook bagged an 18 dart leg in his 3-1 singles success whilst three other teammates shone in the individual phase.

Frankie Stout added a maximum and a leg in 17 during his 3-0 win whilst Hayman (25.47) was also prominent with a 3-0 win.

Brandon Hartley was a 3-1 winner with the help of a leg in 17 whilst Tom Baker's 180 for the defeated team came in a 3-2 loss, which was the closest any of the visitors came to picking up a singles point.

Tex Pearce's astonishing fifteen scores of a ton or more couldn't arrest St Levans slide to an 8-3 defeat against title chasing Fawn B.

Pearce's tally was propped up by two of the four maximums in the match as teammates Hayley Brant and Mike Pearce also fired.

That solitary 180 for Pearce gave him one of the thirteen scores of a ton or more he plundered in the contest to go alongside a 15 darter in his 3-0 singles success.

Tex Pearce was a 3-2 winner in spite of Lee Agar's 18 dart leg, which was only matched for his side by teammate John Mann in a 3-1 triumph.

After that aforementioned win, Mann was left on an eleven ton tally that included checkouts of 100 and a game best of 129 combo.

Teammate Simon Washington was also an eleven ton hitter whilst Luke Johnson (25.05) walked away with the best individual average after his 3-0 victory.

A haul of thirteen tons from Jayden Dodd put a dent into the score line during Octagon's 7-4 triumph over Victory A.

Seven 180s were plundered between just three of the twelve competitors on display as Chris Edgecombe added a trio to go alongside two each from teammate Steve Daley and Kelvin Rowe for the defeated side.

Daley's brace came in a 3-0 singles win over Rowe that had him checking a leg in 16 darts whilst Dave Pethick also had his finishing boots on in a 3-0 win that contained an 18 darter.

Kevin Evans rained twelve tons down onto Duchy to aid Tradesmans to a derby day 9-2 win over their local Stonehouse rivals.

Evans' teammate Nick Bromley found an 88 combination out during his 3-1 individual success whilst Jordan Heath was the only recipient of a '180' call after throwing.

Dave Burford's twelve tons and 3-1 win when on last with the scores tied at 5-5 led Bar Mez to a 6-5 success at Victory Fireballs.

Phil Hoyle's ten ton plusses that led Cherry Tree B to an 11-0 success at Victory Hammers included the highest checkout of the week across all fixtures of 140.

Sparks flew for teammate Jason Pinkerton who added two of the three maximums in the game with other coming from the arm of Wayne Davis for the defeated team.

Mark Shears 3-0 singles win was accented by an 18 darter that was only bettered by a leg in 14 from Scott Wapshott in a 3-1 success.

Ten tons by Mark Hatherley provided the main highlights in a match that his Indian Inn team lost 8-3 at Cherry Tree A.

Hatherley's teammate Ian Heggie bagged two maximums whilst Matt Kingdon put up a 180 of his own for the victors.

A Cherry Tree derby match between C and D teams yielded five maximums during an 8-3 win for the C team over their rivals.

Lee Hellings, Dave Lee and Nick Bryant all struck for the designated 'home' victors whilst the away team for the evening had Kevin Lofthouse and Jacob Bentham hitting 180s.

Bentham combination out of 84 was the best finish of the game whilst Lofthouse and partner Martin Pearson secured a 601 leg in 20 darts during the doubles phase.

Three of the victor's roster added decent legs of 501 with the best coming from Bryant who put away one leg in his 3-0 win in just 16 darts.

Hellings followed that with a 17 darter during another 3-0 win before Steve Mills added a leg in 17 of his own in a 3-1 triumph.

Four 180s lit up Kings Arms 8-3 success in a visit to Bluebird with Dave Johns' brace added to by teammates Paul Palmer and Alec Turner.

Palmer's 14 darter came in a 3-1 loss to Alan Masters who fired a 111 highest checkout of the match in a 3-1 singles success.

Liam Taylor's 100 checkout was the only moment of magic in a 9-2 win for Fawn A during their home matchup against Ivybridge CC.
