One of those was a 135 three dart combination out shot that took the highest finish of the match with Scott Wapshott taking second and third place in that particular stat.
Wapshott's finishes of 122 and 114 sat alongside thirteen more three figure scores to give him a personally tally of fifteen tons overall.
The epic encounter saw '180' called no fewer than nine times with Andrew Cook firing a trio to add to a solitary effort from teammate Troi Day.
Danny Allen and Mark Shears both added a brace of maximums for the victors whilst teammate Jason Pinkerton claimed a fifth overall for his team.
In the doubles phase of play, Wapshott teamed with Billy Evans to put together a 601 leg that was put away in just 20 before the singles saw more world class offerings from the two stacked rosters.
Cook and Allen clashed in the first singles rubber with an Allen 14 darter the perfect riposte for Cook's leg in 16 in a 3-2 success for Allen.
Jones then dispatched Mark Shears by the same score line with legs of 15, 18 and 16 giving Jones his three won whilst one of the two Shears managed came in 14 darts.
Pinkerton's brace of 18 darters helped him run out a comfortable 3-1 winner before Troi Day won a third 14 dart leg of the contest in another 3-1 triumph.
Reigning champions Fawn B started their defence with a a commanding 8-3 win over a talented Kings Arms side as John Mann top scored with sixteen three figure scores.
Mann was well supported by teammate Jaden Whitting who ended his evening on fifteen three figure scores whilst Andy Bates and Fred Goldsmith both topped their ton totals up to twelve.
Goldsmith and Whitting added 180s to their particular tallies whilst the only maximum for the defeated team came from Paul Palmer.
That effort for Palmer was the cherry on top of his twelve ton haul whilst teammate Dave Johns was the best player in the scoring phase for the Oreston side with fourteen three figure scores.
Palmer was a 3-2 winner in the individuals with 100 checkout proving to be crucial in that matchup whilst Paul Hendy was on the end of that very same score line despite adding a leg in 14.
Mark Yeoman also suffered a 3-2 defeat in spite of a 17 darter before Mann (26.84) ran out a 3-0 winner with a second leg in 17 of the match his best.
Jack McMinn's fourteen ton plusses were not enough to arrest Bluebird's slide to an 8-3 defeat at the hands of Cherry Tree C.
Lewis Dare was in fine fettle for the victors as he put eleven tons onto the scoreboard including a 108 checkout that was sandwich in the middle of two other three figure out shots.
Teammate Lee Hellings fired a 104 kill whilst James Hughes completed the trio with the best checkout of the match; a fine 111 kill.
The finishing phase is where the points are always decided and the Pennycross outfit were clinical in the singles with Dare checking a leg in 17 during his 3-1 success.
Hughes found an 18 darter during his 3-0 win whilst Hellings won by the same margin thanks in part to second 17 dart leg in the match.
Over the 601 distance, McMinn and teammate Keith Whitley put together a 21 dart showing in what turned out to be a 2-1 loss.
Mark Hatherley fired twelve tons but still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat as Indian Inn were bettered by Cherry Tree D.
Hatherley's scoring wasn't the only highlights produced by the former Devon man as he nailed checkouts of 81, 93 and 137; the latter the best of the first week's play.
