Taylor Quints To The Line

Quinton Taylor (28.36) fired two 17 dart legs in a 3-0 win for Victory A during an 11-0 Steve Chapman 501 League success over Ivybridge CC.

Whilst Taylor's success was brilliant, it didn't contain the best leg of the match with that honour also not going to Scott Lawrey in his win.

Lawrey (25.47) added a 16 darter to his 3-0 win and ended on eleven tons with the cherry on top of that figure coming in the form of two maximums.

Paul Goundry in fact fired the best leg of 501 overall with a 12 dart leg during his 3-1 success in which Goundry put up a 180 and the highest checkout of the game and week; a 136 kill.

Other 180 hitters by the home side were Alex Roach and Paddy Archibald who both added a solitary three treble visit to leave the Honicknowle side on five 180s for the game.

Lee Agar's stunning display for Fawn B in a 9-2 win over Tradesmans was capped off by sixteen scores of a ton or more.

Agar was one part of a 601 leg in the doubles when teaming with John Mann to a 16 darter and also managed a leg in 14 over the 501 distance during a 3-2 win over Lewis Byrne.

Byrne himself chalked up two of the four maximums in the match in that loss and walked away with a very respectable twelve tons.

Byrne's tally was blown away by teammate Jordan Grimshaw however who put on fifteen scores of a ton or more throughout the match.

Andy Bates netted a 180 on his way to twelve three figure scores; a feat that was matched by Mann who also performed well in the singles.

Mann's 3-1 win was accented by legs of 18 and 13 darts whilst Bates and Fred Goldsmith heard 'game shot' called after throwing 17 between them in the doubles phase.

Simon Washington finished on eleven tons with his 101 checkout narrowly bettered by a Bates combination of 114.

Mark Hatherley's fifteen scores of a ton or more couldn't stop the league leaders Cherry Tree B from whitewashing Hatherley's Indian by an 11-0 score line.

Hatherley added his team's solitary maximum and a 101 checkout that was the best of the matchup to that brilliant total.

Phil Hoyle and Ant Pearn were the main aggressors for the side that now hold a three point lead at the top with ten tons each.

Hoyle joined teammate Paul Gavican in bagging a 180 for the victors whilst Hatherley's 15 dart leg came in one of two singles games that finished in 3-2 defeats for the Stoke village side.

Mike Pearce's three maximums topped up his personal ton tally to thirteen during St Levans 6-5 triumph over Fawn A.

Pearce added one of two 16 dart legs in the match to his 18 darter in a 3-0 win whilst Tex Pearce claimed the other leg in 16 during another victory by a 3-0 score line.

Paul Palmer's twelve ton personal tally was accented by one of the two 180s by his Kings Arms team in a 7-4 success over Cherry Tree D.

Reg Matthews was the other 180 hitter for the Oreston side whilst Martin Pearson's 107 three dart combination out shot wasn't bettered by any of the twelve on display.

Cherry Tree's 7-4 win over Bluebird was catalysed by eleven three figure scores by Dan Brazier whilst highlights by the visitors from Compton came once again from their talismen.

Jack McMinn added the only maximum for his team whilst Alan Masters' 107 single visit out shot was the best of all thirty-three checkouts in the match.

Lewis Dare heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than eleven times during an 11-0 win for Cherry Tree C over Victory Fireballs.

The cherry on top of Dare's total was a 105 checkout and one of the two maximums his team plundered during the whitewash win.

Steve Mills was the other recipient of a '180' call after throwing whilst Nick Bryant's 18 dart leg in his 3-0 win was the best leg of 501 in the contest.

Octagon's Chris Edgecombe put on ten tons to lead the Stonehouse side to a 9-2 success over Victory Hammers.

Three of the four maximums in the match came in the same game as Robbie Bisgrove hit two to opponent Cobie Harris' one.

However, Harris got the better of his rival with an 18 darter proving to be crucial in a 3-2 triumph whilst teammate Kieran Harris chalked up the fourth 180 of the game.

The highest checkout honours went the way of the team that won the match as Steve Daley's 114 combination claimed the biggest on offer by all twelve competitors.

Five brilliant checkouts highlighted the class on display from Bar Mez and Beacon Park that ended in an 8-3 win to the former.

Paul Tackle's 108 was the best of the quintet with finishes of 96 and 90 by Mike Bulmer joining a 92 by Tom Full and a 79 from Steve Smout.

Bulmer's 90 was finished in three darts to make up an 18 dart leg during a 3-2 singles success that was only bettered by Full's leg in 16 in a 3-1 personal triumph.

Highlights of King Billy's 7-4 win over Duchy came in the form of a 96 checkout by Frankie Stout to go alongside a 180 by Andrew Cook and an 18 darter by Antony Hayman in a 3-1 win.
