Taylor-esque Darting From Sean
Sean Taylor became the fourth different ADC Vault champion at Legends Lounge but started life in Group 2 with a defeat.
Paul Palmer produced some stunning darts to defeat Taylor in his first outing 2-1 with legs in 18 and 17 getting the better of his rival.
Taylor produced a 15 darter and a maximum in a 2-0 win over James Parkhouse before wins by the same score line tumbled against Sean Burkitt, Tom Graham, Cameron O'Brien and Steve Mills to claim top spot.
Palmer meanwhile carried on where he left off with a 14 darter against O'Brien before O'Brien checked in 18 darts to win that encounter 2-1.
Palmer returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Mills before Graham was downed 2-0 thanks to two 16 darters.
Mills snuck through in fourth in the group with 2-0 wins over Graham, Burkitt and Parkhouse whilst O'Brien was third after 2-0 wins over Mills, Parkhouse and Graham.
The undoubted top performer in the group average wise was Palmer who put on another 2-0 triumph against Parkhouse before two more legs in 16 were plundered against Burkitt for Palmer (93.94).
In group one, Darren Smith topped the standings with a 2-0 wins over Paul Hoare, Lewis Byrne and Zack Rosen joined by 2-1 successes over Del Bryce and Daniel Davies.
Jack Walker was the only man to defeat Smith in the first phase with a 2-1 score line joining another by 2-1 over Byrne and 2-0 wins against Davies, Bryce and Rosen.
Hoare bested Walker 2-0 for his only defeated of the group stage and took third spot with 2-1 successes over Bryce and Rosen, as well as a 2-0 triumph over Davies.
Bryce snuck through with 2-1 wins over week three champion Byrne and Davies joining a 2-0 success over Rosen to give him six points and the final last eight berth.
In the quarter finals, Smith was a 3-0 winner over Mills before O'Brien won 3-0 against Walker before Hoare put out the in form Palmer 3-1.
Taylor then bagged a 3-1 win over Bryce before repeating the feat against Hoare to join Smith in the final after Smith was a 3-1 winner against O'Brien.
Smith bagged a 153 checkout to go 2-1 up in the final before Taylor finished 76 in 3 for an 18 dart leg to take the 3-2 win at the title.
