Super-Mann Dominates Steve Chapman 501 League
John Mann completely dominated with fifteen ton plusses; a haul that led reigning champions Fawn B to an 8-3 success over Octagon in the Steve Chapman 501 League.
Such was Mann's form, he ploughed in three maximums and a checkout of 156 that took the honours for the highest checkout of both the match, and the week overall.
Mann also paired with Jaden Whitting (33.39) for an 18 dart 601 leg that claimed the best of the doubles phase in a 2-1 success for the pair, which withstood one of two maximums on the night from Alfie Ford.
Lee Agar opened the individual phase by making it to eleven three figure scores in a 3-0 win before Ford returned to the board to light up the spectacle once more.
In a pulsating game, Ford threw his other maximum of the night in a matchup against a long term teammate in other leagues, Fred Goldsmith, which ended in a 3-2 win for the latter.
Just one leg in that contest went beyond six visits to the board as Ford's brace of 18 darters was usurped by ripostes of 18 and 16 darts.
The pair put on quite a show with one of Ford's winning legs finished in one visit from 127; leaving him on eleven tons for the night and his opponent Goldsmith reaching twelve.
Another twelve ton hitter was Mann's individual adversary Robbie Bisgrove who checked a leg in 18 darts but fell to an unstoppable Mann who hit in legs of 18, 14 and 16 for a 3-1 win.
In the battle of the Jaydens, it was Whitting who defeated Jayden Dodd 3-2 despite an 18 darter and a maximum that rounded off a ten ton haul for Dodd.

Cook added a maximum to that total with Antony Hayman producing the other two whilst Cook's 90 checkout was only bettered by a 117 from Scott Cook.
The aforementioned trio were also the main protagonists in the individual phase starting with Scott Cook's 3-1 win that was accented by legs of 17 and 16, as well as the three figure checkout.
Andrew Cook (28.90) repeated legs of 17 and 16 in a 3-0 win before Hayman added a 12 darter to his leg in 16 in another win by the same score line.

Scott Lawrey was at the heart of that win with an eleven ton personal haul that included one of three maximums on the night.
Lawrey joined Tackle and teammate Quinton Taylor in achieving that particular feat and also provided the game's shortest leg with an 18 darter in a 3-0 success.
The highest checkout of the match was thrown by another member of the triumphant victors with Paul Goundry superbly notching a 148 combination out shot.
Phil Hoyle top scored with eleven tons for Victory C as they took all the points on offer in a surprising 11-0 whitewash of Kings Arms.
