Champs Sign Off With Another Win

Champions Octagon finished off another stellar Plymouth City Super League Division A season with another 11-0 triumph with the latest victims being Kings Arms B.

Lee Hellings dominated the scoring phase from start to finish with an eighteen ton haul that included one of the seven maximums.

The man which fell to Hellings in a 3-2 individual win, Dave Johns, topped his ton tally up to the eleven mark with three of those aforementioned 180s.

Johns added a 15 darter in that narrow defeat whilst teammates Paul Carpenter and Simon Kelly also showed their class despite ending winless.

Carpenter nailed a fourth maxi for his team whilst Kelly added eleven tons overall ton sit nicely alongside his 88 checkout.

That Kelly effort was blown out of the water by a 145 three darter from Fred Goldsmith whilst Neil White and Paul Palmer added to the pile of 180s thrown in the brilliant contest.

White's three treble visit ticked his personal ton tally over to the ten mark whilst over the 601 distance, Hellings paired with Alfie Ford for a 19 dart leg.

Dan Brazier heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than fifteen times, which led Indian B to an 11-0 triumph during their visit to Clifton.

Brazier bagged both of his team's 180s in the contest and was well supported by Mark Shears who finished his night with ten three figure visits.

Brazier narrowly bettered Wayne Town 3-2 in the individuals as Town ended his night with eleven ton plusses whilst Chris Pearce added ten tons of his own.

One of those aforementioned scores was a 180 as Town's teammate Reece Mealin netted himself a three treble visit just a few days shy of his eighteenth birthday to show remarkable potential for someone so young.

At the business end of legs, Ross Blake's 78 kill was only bettered by a Scott Cook 108 three dart combination out shot whilst two of his teammates showed their class in the singles.

Shears and Wapshott were both 3-0 winners with the latter's 15 dart leg usurped by a brilliant leg in 14 by the former.

Harry Bull fired thirteen tons including a 120 checkout that was the best finish of the matchup but still found himself on the wrong end of an 8-3 defeat as Indian A were downed by King Billy.

Danny Bull added to Harry's tally with ten three figure visits of his own including one of the four three treble visits in the contest.

Antony Hayman added the other three himself for the victors and topped his ton tally up to the twelve mark overall.

Hayman's teammate Lee Doncaster narrowly missed out on the high finish with a 118 combination but he was beaten in the individuals by Harry Bull who nailed a 15 darter in a 3-1 win.

Leighton Wilson checked in 17 darts during his 3-0 singles success whilst Paul Goundry matched that effort in another triumph without reply.
