Steve's Marker Sets Fine Least Number Of Darts

Steve Marker (28.60) bagged two shares of the least number of darts prize money during the Tradesmans derby match in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League; one being a 35 dart 1001 individual leg.

However, Marker's sublime form that included a ten ton haul and a 90 checkout wasn't enough to stop the B team from sliding to an 8-5 defeat to their A team stablemates.

Marker, remarkably, had already been involved in one 35 dart leg as the veteran teamed with Tony Lamerton and Lewis Byrne to claim a trebles leg in that very same number of darts.

Those legs bettered a 38 dart 1001 leg for Andrew Nation (26.34) who claimed the game's only maximum in his demolition job in the individuals for the victors.

That win was only the fourth best of it's kind in the match as Nation's teammate Andy Waters (27.05) netted a decent 37 dart leg in his singles game.

Waters form wasn't curtailed to just the individual phase as consistent scoring all throughout the matchup gave him a ten ton personal haul.

Victory Inn continued their climb towards more familiar territory in the standings with a 10-3 success over the Falstaff.

Jordan Grimshaw led the way with ten ton plusses in the match for the Honicknowle side but lost out to Steve Harris (26.34) who fired a 1001 leg in 38 darts to defeat the youngster.

That wasn't the best leg of this contest though as Shaun Williams teamed with Matt Abbott and Grimshaw (28.60) to claim a share of the league's least number of darts prize for the week with a 35 darter.

Williams also went on to fire a 128 checkout in the match that secured the highest finish of the week across all fixtures whilst Glyn Wells picked up two maximums in the match.

Sean Taylor's ten ton personal tally led Legends Lounge to a 10-3 success over Ker St A; the double figure haul rounded off by a 100 checkout.

Simon Washington and Paul Barclay were bang at it in Octagon's 11-2 win over Cherry Tree with the pair both hitting a maximum in the match.

Washington (24.41) went on to win his individuals in 41 darts from 1001 whilst a modest 60 from Barclay secured the biggest finish of this particular contest.

A 9-4 win for Kings Tamerton over Mainstone allow them to close the wide gap at the top of the standings by one point with Colin Lynch and Paul Sanders providing moments of magic with 180s.

Jamie Sandford added the only noteworthy contribution with a maximum in a 7-6 defeat for Grenville in their home match with the Indian.
