Sim-On The Edge Of Glory
Simon Washington once again put his name into the headlines with a majestic individual performance for Fawn B in an 11-0 Steve Chapman 501 League success over The Exchange.

Washington (28.36) threw legs that tumbled in 16 and 18 darts in his epic 3-0 success and also added eleven three figure visits overall across the contest.
Washington's ton tally was topped up to that mark by one of the three 180s plundered in the match, with the others coming from the same man.

Sean Taylor was the recipient of two '180' calls after throwing, and he added a 101 checkout as well as a leg in 17 darts to his night's work.
The other shining light of the victors was Fred Goldsmith who top scored with a thirteen ton haul and checked the best leg of 501 with a 15 darter.

Mark Hatherley ran up a ton total which topped out at fifteen three figure scores but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 loss as Indian were downed by Cherry Tree A.
Hatherley's best achievement of that mammoth total was a 102 checkout that came in a 3-1 win, which also saw a leg ended in just 15 darts.

The only noteworthy contribution from the successful home side was a Luke Beard 18 dart leg, which proved crucial in dispatching his opponent 3-2.
The derby match between Victory A and the Victory Hammers that ended 8-3 to the former was dominated by the scoring prowess of Scott Lawrey who hit fourteen tons.

Lawrey's performance was backed up by teammate Quinton Taylor who added eleven three figure visits to the board whilst the 180s in the game were shared.
Paul Goundry and Wayne Davis achieved that particular feat whilst there was two notable moments at the business end of legs.

Lawrey added an 18 darter in his 3-1 triumph, which sat nicely alongside a 100 out shot by stablemate Darren Collis that was the best of all thirty-four checkouts across the fixture.
Beau Carter put up twelve tons to lead Beacon Park to a 9-2 away win during a visit to Fawn A, who had two players in good finishing form.

Mark Sargeant checked 88 in a single visit to the board and teammate Isaac Taylor added a leg in 17 darts during his narrow 3-2 individual loss.
Taylor's effort was matched by Carter's who added that to a leg in 18, both of which proved crucial in a 3-2 triumph, which was one of eight games decided by a solitary chalk mark.

King Billy and Kings Arms played out a 7-4 success for the former that saw four players added at least ten tons or more to the scoreboard.
The two most prolific players, Frankie Stout and Paul Palmer, both reached eleven tons whilst Lewis Byrne and Dave Johns added ten each.

The maxis in the game all went the way of the victors as Paddy Archibald, Scott Cook and Andrew Cook all fired whilst the latter of the trio picked up the high checkout honours with a 121.
Rob May's eleven tons in the Stonehouse derbt between Tradesmans and Duchy included the only maximum of the contest that ended 8-3 to May's home side.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the wxore line, Beth Falconer showed her sharpshooting with an 80 single visit combination out shot.
Cherry Tree C and St Levans put on three maximums between the two teams in a 6-5 win for the former as Nick Miller, Tex Pearce and Melvyn German all bagged an effort each.

German showed good form in the doubles phase when teaming with Lee Hellings for an 18 dart 601 leg that was checked in just 18 darts by German's 101 out.
German continued that form into the singles with a 16 darter that came in a 3-2 loss before Hellings claimed a 3-0 win.

Hellings usurped German's finish with a 116 of his own and also nailed a leg in 18 darts during the aforementioned triumph.
Mike Pearce netted a 16 darter of his own in a 3-0 success before Tex Pearce rounded his night off with another 3-0 win that was accented by a leg in 17.

An 11-0 whitewash from Cherry Tree B at Vixtoey Fireballs saw Scott Wapshott pick up a brace of 180s for the visitors.
Phil Ingram fired one back for the defeated side whilst Phil Hoyle and Mark Shears showed their undoubted class with a 102 checkout and legs in 16 and 18 darts in their respective 3-1 and 3-0 wins.

The brightest stars for Cherry Tree D during their 7-4 triumph at Bar Mez were Cameron O'Brien and Kev Lofthouse.
O'Brien was a 3-0 individual winner with the help of a leg in 17 darts whilst Lofthouse added a 180 to his 17 dart leg in another 3-0 singles success.

Two outstanding moments for Octagon in a 10-1 win over Firkin Scholar came in the form of a 115 checkout by Alfie Ford and Dave Pethick's 180.
The defeated team picked up the same number of maximums as Scott Heggie joined Pethick in putting on a three treble visit to the oche.
