Savvy Gavi Continues Great Form

Paul Gavican (28.90) showed his undoubted class for King Billy B in the Monday Premier League but still fell in the match result as the Devonport outfit were downed by leaders Tradesmans 7-4.

Gavican's 3-0 singles win came with the help of legs in 17 and 16 darts whilst his scoring prowess was also there for all to see with twelve tons overall.

Teammate Paul Goundry fired a brace of maximums whilst Ant Pearn's 18 darter came in a 3-2 reversal against Jaden Whitting.

Whitting was one of two ten ton hitters for the runaway leaders with teammate Fred Goldsmith also achieving that feat whilst Lee Agar was the only player for the Stonehouse team to claim a maximum.

Zak Smith's fifteen ton plusses couldn't arrest Colebrook's slide to a 6-5 defeat at the hands of Indian who had Danny Bull in good nick with ten tons.

Smith's teammates Dan Giles and Andy Bond were also ten ton hitters; the latter topping his tally up with one of the two maximums for his team.

Nick Furneaux added the other and also tied with Karl Arrowsmith for the highest checkout as the pair both put away 72 in a single visit.

Thirteen tons from Sean Burkitt including a remarkable two 100 checkouts in a 9-2 win for Octagon A over Cherry Tree B.

Burkitt was well supported by Paul Palmer who added twelve tons to the scoreboard whilst Paul Hendy's 17 darter aided him to a 3-0 individual success.

Tony Reid's 180 was the only effort of it's kind in the match whilst George Beckett was a 3-1 winner in a game that included a 17 darter.

The Bluebird derby match between the A and B saw the B team take a 10-1 success as Lee Roberts dominated the scoring phase with twelve tons.

Roberts' teammate Tony Teal expertly netted a 107 finish whilst Dan Hurley supported Roberts well with ten tons of his own.

Dale Halford was unlucky to end on the wrong side of the heavy loss after his finished on ten tons and won a leg in 18 darts during his 3-1 individual win that stopped the one way traffic in the final singles tie.

Andrew Cook and Antony Hayman made most of the running with twelve and ten tons each but still found themselves on the wrong side of a 6-5 defeat as King Billy A were defeated by Victory.

Cook and Hayman shared three maximums between themselves, the latter with the lion's share whilst Hayman (28.90) was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to legs in 15 and 17 darts.

Luke Johnson provided some of the firepower for the victors with 16 and 18 darters in 3-1 singles win and teamed with Quinton Taylor to put a 601 leg away in just 20 darts.

Tony Tasker's fine 117 three dart combination out shot was not only the best of the match but also took the league's prize for the weekly highest checkout.

Octagon B had Chris Edgcumbe to thank for their 9-2 win over Cherry Tree A with his ten tons contributing heavily to the win.

Ryan Ring's 100 finish helped him to a 3-1 win over John Goodall who checked a three dart combo of 108 in the only success of that particular singles rubber.
