Rob Heads Job Lot Of 180s

Four 180s were put onto the scoreboard by Cherry Tree B in a 7-4 Plymouth Open League triumph over St Johnston A; number one of that haul coming in the first trebles as Rob Edmunds fired.

Kieran Harris joined Scott Harris in hearing a maximum called in two separate doubles games before Wayne Davis lost his singles 2-1 despite hitting the fourth and final 180.

Davis checked 80 in that defeat; a finish that was only bettered by a 94 single visit combination out shot from Nick Miller.

St Johnston B had Brian Lumsdon firing a maximum in an 8-3 success over Weston Mill Hotel who had Ryan Barrett checking 108 at the first time of asking.

Two 180s lit up Beacon Park's 8-3 win against Ker St C in which both Stan Preen and Nick Bryant both added to that total with a solitary maximum each.

Keith Carter's 116 checkout was the best finish of anything mustered by his side; the checkout coming the very next game after Lewis Byrne hit a 117 to win one of two singles for the Devonport side.

The aforementioned Carter win also saw the best leg of the match as the 2-0 win was put to bed with a leg in 18.

Falstaff A narrowed the gap between them and fourth placed Lugger A by a single point after Alan Jewell won the final rubber of a 6-5 win.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the closest of marginal defeats, Logan Carroll still had time to put the game's only maximum onto the scoreboard.

A third win of the eight game old league saw Fortescue succeed 9-2 with the help of a Clive Bailey maximum and Jordan Angear's 93 checkout.

Ker St A's 7-4 home win over Prince Maurice was achieved with the help of an 88 checkout from Helen Stone; a second success of the season so far.

Legends Lounge kept themselves in the Division B title race with a solid 9-2 triumph over leaders Pennycross in which Del Bryce heard 180 called after throwing.

That defeat also allowed Lugger B to close up in second after a 8-3 success over Falstaff B that saw Luke Collins check 120 in a single visit.

Cherry Tree A got their second win of the campaign with a 7-4 win over Ker St D that saw Stephen Heffron checking one leg with the help of a 91 checkout.

St Levans claimed their third success of the season with Ray Pearce winning the final tie of the match to give his team a 6-5 triumph at Duchy.

Mainstone were winners by the narrowest of margins as they defeated King Billy A 6-5 whilst Ker St B climbed to sixth with a 9-2 triumph at King Billy B.
