Pinky Dinks Major Checkout

One week after a 161 checkout was declared the highest finish of the Steve Chapman 501 League season so far, Jason Pinkerton netted a 160 in leaders Cherry Tree B's 8-3 home win over Kings Arms.

Pinkerton added a maximum to his night's work whilst teammate Mike Whatley was the recipient of a call of one hundred or more on twelve occasions.

Paul Palmer did most of the running for the defeated away side with a ten ton personal haul that contained a maximum whilst teammate Paul Hendy also added a dectet of three figure scores.

Fifteen scores of a ton or more led Fawn B to an 8-3 success over Cherry Tree B; a match that contained five other notable performances.

Mann was well supported by Luke Johnson, Andy Bates and Simon Washington who all added eleven tons each.

Washington's tally would've ended at ten if it wasn't for the only three treble visit of the game he added to the scoreboard.

Nick Bryant top scored for the defeated home side with twelve tons whilst the man that Washington bettered in the individual phase, Lee Hellings, ended his night on ten tons.

Mann and teammate Lee Agar put together a 601 leg that ended in just 17 darts whilst Johnson and Bates (33.39) were bang at it in the pairs with legs in 15 and 21 darts.

Bryant (25.50) started the individual phase with his team's only win by a 3-1 score line before Agar checked 96 in during his success by the same score.

Mann added a 15 darter in his 3-0 win whilst Bates rounded off a fine performance both individually and as a team with a 3-0 triumph that contained a leg in 16 darts.

Simon Wilbraham continued his recent good form with thirteen scores of a ton or more in a 6-5 loss for Cherry Tree A against Octagon.

Dan Brazier and James Farrell were also in good form for the defeated team with ten tons each whilst Jayden Dodd top scored for the home side with eleven three figure scores.

Wilbraham and Alfie Ford added a maximum each to the affair whilst Farrell was defeated by the latter 3-1 in the individual phase despite adding a leg in 16.

And that Farrell effort was the only leg to better an 18 darter from Robbie Bisgrove in a 3-1 individual triumph for the side that recovered from 2-1 and 3-2 down to take the narrow success.

Twelve tons rained down from the arm of Neal Walters in Victory Fireballs 7-4 home triumph against Beacon Park.

Scott Cook ended his night with eleven tons by found the Victory A team were too good as the away side claimed a 7-4 win over Cook's King Billy.

The only 180 of the game was added to Cook's tally whilst Scott Lawrey was in good form for the visitors with a 114 checkout.

Cook's 13 and 14 dart legs in a 3-0 singles success were the only legs in the matchup to better a crucial 18 darter by Lawrey in a 3-2 individual triumph.

Lewis Byrne totted up his ton total to the eleven mark with two maximums his best in Tradesmans 8-3 win over Victory Hammers.

Byrne's teammate Kevin Evans added a third 180 for the visitors whilst a 142 checkout by Lee O'Mahony gave him the best checkout of all thirty finishes in the match.

Eleven tons by Lee Rodmell led Bar Mez to a 6-5 win at Fawn A that was eventually settled in the eleventh and final game of the night with the scores tied at 5-5 by Neil Reed by a 3-1 score line.

Mike Bassett and Mark Sargeant gave the defeated Greenbank side their only moments of magic in the match with a 112 out shot and 180 a piece.

Ian Heggie might've added ten tons to the scoreboard, but that wasn't enough to stop Indian Inn from succumbing to a 7-4 defeat at St Levans.

Heggie's 18 darter came in a 3-1 individual triumph whilst the best combination out shot of the night was put away by Anna Pearce at the first time of asking from 80.

Three 180s lit up Bluebird's 10-1 win over Ivybridge CC as Jack McMinn, Keith Lemon and Simon Hill all fired three treble visits.

Keith Whitley's 104 checkout narrowly bettered a 100 single visit kill by Ben Durber whilst McMinn was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to a leg in 16 darts.

The only noteworthy moment between Cherry Tree D and Duchy in a 9-2 win for the former came from the arm of Kevin Lofthouse who bagged a 76 checkout.
