Pearce Prevents Cherry On Top

Tex Pearce's scoring prowess dominated St Levans 6-5 Steve Chapman 501 League success in their visit to Cherry Tree during a rearranged game played after the regular season finished.

The sixteen ton man, Pearce, was well supported by his brother Mike Pearce who fired eleven three figure scores of his own.

Mike Pearce's total was accented by his team's only maximum and was joined by three more from the Pennycross based hosts.

Dan Brazier ticked his ton total over to the twelve mark with one of those aforementioned three treble visits whilst Lewis Dare added a brace of maximums to his night's work.

The best leg of the match came in the doubles as Tex Pearce paired with Harry MacGregor to put away 601 in just 17 darts during a 2-1 success that proved crucial in deciding the destination of the win.

In the previous week's round of fixtures, four maximums helped Victory C sign off their season with an 11-0 win over Bar Mez, including a duo from Mark Shears.

Solitary efforts from Billy Evans and Paul Gavican rounded off that total whilst Shears finished one short of the leading group in the maximum table despite this effort.

Twelve tons from Lewis Bryne wasn't enough to arrest Ker St's slide to a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Victory Hammers, for whom Nick Miller checked 136 at the first time asking.

180s from Anna and Mike Pearce lit up St Levans 7-4 win over Indian Inn that also contained a 15 darter for Anna Pearce whilst Ian Heggie fired a top finish of 100 for the defeated side.
