Palmer Starts As He Means To Go On

The third edition of the Legends Lounge Premier League kicked off with a bumper forty-eight competitors registered to toe the oche in the three division, sixteen player per league format.



Paul Palmer took the headlines in week one with a 121 checkout and two maximums in his 7-2 opening day victory over Warren Page in Premier League 2.


James Nicholls started his campaign with 180s in a 7-6 win over the previous edition's champion Frankie Stout, who made it three maximums in the matchup overall.



Nick Miller added a 180 to his 119 checkout in a 7-5 success over Lee Hunter whilst Dave Lee snuck over the line in a 7-6 success against Nick Cordrey.


The commencement of Del Bryce's season saw him succeed 7-2 over Jack Duffy and Sean Taylor found a way to defeat Darren Smith 7-6.



Dan Jewell tops the early standings with a 7-0 win over Tom Wilson giving him a perfect start to his Premier League 2.


In Premier League 1, Lee Hellings fired a 180 and checkouts of 116 and 100 in his dispatchment of Gary Clarke by a 7-2 score line.



Clarke himself added a 180 in that particular tie whilst Chris Adams fired a 112 checkout in one of the three legs he claimed during his 7-3 loss to Chris Edgecombe.


Anna Pearce was drawn into the same group as her husband Tex Pearce and succumbed by a 7-2 score despite hitting the only maximum of the tie.



Jayden Dodd was a 7-2 winner over Maria O'Brien whilst Scott Wapshott leads the way in his division after a 7-0 success over John Woolven-Allen was joined by a 7-2 victory over Anna Pearce in a second outing for both.


Pearce added as many maximums as she did points in that encounter whilst Wapshott's highlights were a 180 to go alongside a 105 combination outshot.



Premier League 3's opening night saw Simon Wilbraham check 112 in a single visit, but those heroics couldn't prevent him from falling to a 7-5 defeat at the hands of Lewis Byrne.


Neil White was a 7-1 winner over former Devon teammate Sarah Brown whilst Danny Perryman went one better with a 7-0 success over James Ewing.




Andrew Cook joined Perryman atop of the early leaderboard with a 7-0 win over Tom Graham that contained a 180.


Nathan Langdon was the fourth big winner of the division with a 7-1 triumph over Liam Taylor whilst Lisa Hellings was narrowly edged by Reece Goves 7-5.
