P&D Is Kingdom Of Evans

Kevin Evans (28.60) fired a remarkable 35 dart 1001 leg, which claimed the best game of the week in the Plymouth & District Friday Darts League during Victory Inn's 11-2 success over Octagon.

An 89 checkout earlier in the match gave Evans a unique double of shortest leg and highest checkout in the match whilst teammate Matt Abbott shot the only 180 in the game.

Glyn Wells was at his usual talismanic best in the match for the triumphant side with a personal tally of ten scores of three figures or more.

Despite ending on the wrong side of a narrow defeat at home to Falstaff, Indian Inn's Gareth Hocking found some brilliant form to produce twelve tons overall.

Matt Legge produced ten tons but still found himself on the wrong end of an 11-2 defeat as leaders Tradesmans A got the better of Grenville.

Legge's excellent evening personally was completed by a 97 checkout whilst the only maximum of the contest came from the arm of Andrew Waters for the victors.

Keith Blight's 114 claimed the highest checkout for title chasing Kings Tamerton in a 13-0 win over Ker St B whilst Legends Lounge bagged themselves a fine 11-2 success away at Cherry Tree.
