One Giant Sweep For Mann

John Mann (27.33) added a brace of 18 darters in a 3-0 win that came during Tradesmans Monday Premier League success at Octagon B by an 11-0 score line.

Mann also top scored with fourteen scores of a ton or more whilst teammate Scott Wapshott ended his night on eleven three figure visits.

The cherry on top of Jaden Whitting's ten ton personal haul was two fine checkouts of 108 and a game week high 158 combination out.

Whitting also added the best leg of the match with a 15 darter in his 3-0 success whilst the only noteworthy contribution from the defeated side came from the game's only maximum by Paul Barclay.

Antony Hayman (26.37) fired legs in 14 and 18 darts in a 10-1 success for King Billy A over Cherry Tree A with his maximum in amongst his brilliant 3-0 win.

That 180 helped tick his personal ton tally over to the ten mark whilst teammate Andrew Cook bettered Hayman's ton total with thirteen of his own.

Cook added a maximum to that haul whilst there were two other legs of note in the game; the first coming from Reece Day who nailed a leg in 18 on his way to a 3-1 success.

The only point of the match won by the visitors came in the final tie of the night, and was put away by Mike Whatley who bagged a 17 darter in a 3-0 victory.

Twelve tons from both Glenn Halford and Glenn Austin anchored an 8-3 success for Bluebird B in their visit to Cherry Tree B.

Halford's effort was accented by a 116 checkout and a maximum whilst teammate Jacob Bentham was the third member of the team to reach double figures in tons with ten of his own.

Dave Lee's ten ton plus haul was the best of the defeated team whilst stablemate Marc Webber claimed the notable scalp of Halford with a 3-2 success that contained what turned out to be a crucial 120 three dart finish.

Andy Bond's eleven scores of a ton or more wasn't enough to arrest Colebrook's slide to an 8-3 loss at home versus King Billy A.

Two other notable events in the match came from Bond's teammates as Dan Giles put up a leg in 16 during his 3-0 win whilst John Crotty's 99 combination out was the best of all thirty checkouts in the game.

A 9-2 win for Octagon A over Victory enabled the visitors from Stonehouse to climb above the home side into second place.

Lee Hellings and Jayden Dodd's eleven tons each did the damage whilst Tony Tasker's ten ton tally did put up some resistance.

Sean Burkitt produced some explosive moments with checkouts of 100 and 116 and also contributed one of a trio of maximums for his side.

Paul Palmer ticked his ton total over to the ten mark with one of those maximums to join Alfie Ford in achieving a 180 visit whilst there was a smattering of short legs in the singles phase.

Quinton Taylor was a 3-1 winner for the Honicknowle outfit with a leg in 18 his best whilst Hellings found a 15 darter in his 3-0 win.

Dodd was also a 3-0 winner with what turned out to be the second and final leg that was finished in just 18 darts.

The scoring of Dale Halford dominated the scoring phase of Bluebird A's home encounter with Indian Inn but he still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat.

Three maximums helped the visitors to the win after trailing 2-0, 3-2, 4-3 and 5-4 before only leading the match for the first time in the final leg.

James Ewing, Harry Bull and Danny Bull all fired 180s with the latter becoming the hero in a 3-2 eleventh tie shootout to claim the spoils.
