Nothing Mal-functioning About Andy's Play
Cornwall Gate's talisman Simon Stevenson led the way in the scoring phase with twelve tons but it was Andy Malinowski who stole the show in a 7-4 Plymouth City Super League Division A success at Bluebird B.

Malinowski (28.36) added a leg in 14 and a 107 checkout to his impressive 3-0 singles win that contained one of the three maximums his team hit.
Stevenson joined Dan Bunney in achieving that particular three treble feat whilst Stevenson (27.32) was almost as good as his stablemate in another 3-0 singles win.

Stevenson added two 17 darters to his 3-0 win against Jamie Roberts who himself added a 72 checkout earlier in the game.
Roberts' teammate Vince Scallan was the most influential in the scoring phase for the defeated team with a ten ton haul that was matched by Steve Rice for the away side.

Rice was also a 3-1 winner in the individual phase with a 13 darter that bettered all of the twenty-four legs of 501 played in the excellent contest.
Paul Gavican's fourteen ton plus heroics in the Plymouth City Super League Division A couldn't arrest Indian B's slide to a 7-4 loss against King Billy.

Antony Hayman led the scoring phase for the away side with fourteen scores of a ton or more that included one of the four maximums.
Hayman's teammate Tony Tasker added a 180 to his twelve tons whilst both Alec Turner and Paul Goundry ended their night on eleven tons each.

Gavican's stablemate Scott Cook was one of two maximum hitters for the defeated team with a solitary effort on his way to ten tons.
Ant Pearn was the fourth player to hear '180' called after throwing and that moment allowed him to end on ten tons overall.

Pearn and Hayman played out a classic that ended 3-1 to the latter in the singles phase with Hayman's 15 and 17 dart legs bettering Pearn who checked in 18 for his single chalk mark.
Dan Brazier (27.83) added a trio of 18 dart legs during his 3-0 success that also contained the best checkout of the match; a 109 kill.

Octagon's ticker tape title parade might as well already start as they took advantage of two of the chasing pack taking clumps out of each other with a solid 9-2 win over Indian A.
Lee Hellings was best in the scoring phase with a 180 on his way to fourteen scores of a ton or more whilst the game was littered with short games from the very first 'game on' call of the night.

Alfie Ford, John Mann and Fred Goldsmith (27.05) fired a 37 dart 1001 leg that was checked by Mann with a fine 92 finish.
Hellings teamed with Neil White and Paul Palmer (25.67) to put away their trebles in just 39 darts before the world class darting action continued into the doubles.

Hellings and Ford (28.61) added a 601 leg in just 17 darts to their 2-0 win before White started the individuals with a 16 darter in a 3-0 win.
Mann (25.47) won a solitary leg in 18 and added a 118 checkout during his 3-0 win before Hellings put on the same type of show in another 3-0 triumph.

Hellings' 18 darter gave him one leg in a 3-0 win before Danny Bull finally got the defeated team a first of the night with a 3-1 win over Palmer.
Bull added a 98 checkout in that success and ended his night on eleven tons overall before the beleaguered away side ended their night with another triumph to raise their spirits after suffering twenty lost legs in a row.

Ian Heggie ended his night on thirteen tons but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat as Ker St were downed at Cherry Tree C.
Heggie's teammate Pete Lamerton was the only 180 hitter during the match whilst Darren Smith had his finishing boots on for the successful home side.

Smith added checkouts of 109 and 102 during his 3-2 individual success that came during a phase of the match where the spoils were shared with three individuals games apiece.
Luke Johnson top scored with twelve tons to lead Steampacket to a 6-5 win over Bluebird A who had Glenn Halford added ten tons of his own.

James Stoodley showed a moment of class for the defeated team with a 180 whilst Tony Teal's welcomed return to action saw him check 70 in a single visit.
A 9-2 win for Kings Arms B at Clifton saw four moments of excellent split between a player from each team as Simon Kelly and Cory Jonas both shone.

Kelly's 180 was the only effort of it's ilk whilst his 72 checkout was bettered twice by Jonas who added a 100 kill to his high checkout of 101.
