Nix-ceptional Arrows

A Plymouth Open League Division B 6-5 win for Cherry Tree A over Ker St A saw both Alan Martin and Hannah Edwards hit 98 checkouts whilst Dan Nixon's firepower saw him to ten tons overall.

Nixon won what turned out to be the winning point for his team whilst teammate Stephen Heffron added a further big finish with a 90 kill whilst Duchy won 8-3 over Herbert.

Rob Ryder threw a 94 kill during Stoke Inn's 9-2 win at Queens Arms, Jack Nation's 75 combo helped Cherry Tree C win 10-1 at Shakespeare whilst Albemarle won 8-3 at Legends Lounge B.

An 80 combo form Sid Hurrell gave Mainstone B a platform for an 8-3 win at Weston Mill and a second 80 kill of the night came from Rob Kerry during a 7-4 loss for Agaton A versus Bluebird.

AJ Brunton's ten ton haul led Victory to a 7-4 win at Division A leaders and champions elect Beacon Park who themselves had Danny Hoyle in good form.

Hoyle bagged himself a 180 whilst the best checkout of the night went to Brunton's teammate Neil White who checked 93 in a single visit.

Keith Johnson showed all of this class for Lugger B in a 7-4 triumph over Mainstone A with a 14 darter and a 180 during a 2-1 singles win.

Cam O'Brien was the standout performer for the defeated team with a 100 checkout and an 18 dart leg that both came in his 2-0 individual success.

Another 18 darter came in Fawn A's 7-4 win at Keyham Vaults as Mark Sargeant added a leg in six completed visits to his 2-0 individual triumph.

A third 18 dart leg of the game week was fired by Logan Carroll in a 2-0 singles win that came for Lugger A in a 7-4 loss against Cherry Tree B whilst 180s for each team were added by Carroll and Scott Harris.

A 139 three dart finish from Jordan Grimshaw was one of multiple highlights that were produced as Grimshaw's Royal Naval Arms were beaten 7-4 at Falstaff.

Grimshaw's checkout usurped a 108 by Andy Tremaine for the victors whilst Grimshaw added a 180 to his night's work.

Grimshaw didn't stop there as his 15 darter in a 2-1 individual triumph was two darts better than Andy Waters 17 dart leg that also proved crucial in another 2-1 success.

Lee Medway showed his class with a leg in just 17 and a 180 during a 2-0 singles success but still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss as Fortescue were downed by Prince Maurice.

Medway's teammate Jordan Angear made it two maximums for the defeated team whilst the arm of Will Broome produced a 105 three dart out shot for the successful home team.

John Sturdy provided an 86 checkout that was the only moment of magic during St Levans' 7-4 win at Pennycross.

Jack Wilkinson's 85 combination out came in a 6-5 win for Prince Maurice FC that came down to the very last possible leg during a visit to St Johnston as Lewis Clarke was a 2-1 winner with the scores tied at 5-5.

Wilkinson's checkout might have been higher but Jordan Lee's was more spectacular with a 75 that was checked in two with a 25 and bull whilst Sam Frampton added the only 180 of the contest.

Checkouts of 75 and 82 were netted by Brian Lumsdon and Harley Gillen Johnno Legends during a 7-4 win at Ker St C.
