Mike Drops Fine Individual Display

Mike Whatley (31.98) fired legs in 14 and 12 darts, and a 156 checkout to go alongside a 180 he plundered during a 3-0 singles win that was the best performance in the Monday Premier League game week eleven.



Whatley's mammoth checkout bettered a 115 from teammate Nick Coles in the Cherry Tree derby match that ended 6-5 to Whatley's A team over their B side compatriots.


Paul Hoare's 90 combination shot out gave him the only moment of magic for his defeated team who did fight back from 6-1 down to make the score line respectable.



Runaway leaders Tradesmans had Alec Turner (29.47) in majestic form during his 3-0 singles win that contained legs in 15 and 17 darts to round off an 11-0 win over Octagon B.


Simon Washington (27.83) was also as equally impressive with a 3-0 win of his own coming with best efforts of 17 and 18 darts.



Legs in 15 and 17 darts helped Jaden Whitting to a 3-1 triumph whilst Scott Wapshott's win by the same score line came with another 17 darter for the rampant champions.


A 140 checkout by Wapshott also contributed to his success over Jayden Dodd who himself netted a leg in 18 of his own.



Wapshott also knitted together a fruitful partnership with Lee Agar in the doubles phase as a formidable duo added a 19 darter over the 601 distance during their 2-0 win.


In the scoring phase of play, Agar dominated proceedings with a fifteen ton plus haul that included one of the six maximums.



Whitting and Turner both bagged themselves a brace of maximums whilst the final maxi went to Dodd's teammate Chris Edgecombe.


Agar was supported well by Washington throughout who himself ended his night on thirteen tons whilst Fred Goldsmith added ten tons to the cause.



Kelvin Rowe heard calls of a ton or more twelve times after throwing to lead Victory to a 10-1 success over Bluebird B.


Rowe was supported well by Darren Collis who put two 180s onto his ton total that reached eleven three figure visits.



The top scoring player for the defeated team was Dale Halford who ended his night on ten tons but Halford fell in the individual phase by a 3-2 score line to Collis who helped himself to crucial 16 and 18 dart legs.


Quinton Taylor added to the flurry of good play throughout the match with a 17 darter and a 100 checkout both coming in his 3-0 singles success.



Andrew Cook's twelve tons and eleven more from teammate Ant Pearn did the damage for King Billy who were 9-2 winners against Indian Inn.


Pearn's impressive ton total included two of the four maximums put onto the scoreboard between the two teams as Scott Cook added third for the victors.



The fourth of the quartet of three treble visits was added by Danny Bull for the defeated team whilst Pearn's brace came in the same impressive doubles win.


Pearn teamed with Paul Gavican (30.82) to add legs in 16 and 23 darts over the 601 distance before the individual phase was lit up by some world class play.



Harry Bull was his team's only singles winner thanks to a 3-1 win that contained a 100 out shot and two 15 dart legs.


Scott Cook bagged himself 18 and 16 darters during his 3-1 triumph whilst Gavican's 102 three dart combination proved crucial in deciding his 3-2 triumph.



Lee Hellings twelve ton salvo joined ten more from teammate Alfie Ford, which helped Octagon A to a 9-2 win over Colebrook.


Hellings' total was ticked over to the twelve mark with one of the two maximums Hellings' side put onto the scoreboard.



Darren Smith was the other recipient of a '180' call after throwing whilst a third was plundered in the match by Andy Bond for the defeated team.


Bond's teammate Zak Smith top scored for the defeated team with eleven tons whilst there was numerous highlights at the business end of legs.



Ton plus checkouts were seen off twice in the match as Sean Burkitt's 116 meant Paul Hendy's effort of 108 had to settle for second best in the contest.


Hellings was 3-1 the better of Bond in the individual phase thanks in part to legs in 15 and 17 darts whilst Smith netted himself a fine 18 darter during another 3-1 triumph.



Four 180s lit up Bluebird A's 6-5 loss at Legends Lounge as Mark Henley and Wayne Oddie's efforts for the victors was matched by Lewis Byrne and Del Bryce.


Byrne and Bryce teamed with James Nicholls (33.38) put together at leg of 801 trebles in just 24 darts before Nicholls continued that good play in the singles with a 17 darter in his 3-1 success.



Nicholls' teammate Sean Taylor showed his finishing prowess with a 95 combination out shot that bettered an 82 by Owen Cook for the defeated team.
