Mike Aiming To Be P&D League's O'Brien King

Mike O'Brien stole the show for the newly crowned back to back champions of the Plymouth & District Friday Darts League as he produced an eleven ton haul in an 8-5 win for Tradesmans A over Ker St B.



O'Brien (27.05) also won his individual game in 37 darts to force a playoff with Glyn Wells for the league's individual title after the pair ended the season on 28 wins from 30 matches.


Wells' Victory won 12-1 in their final game against Ker St A with Shaun Williams producing the game's only maximum.



Louis Yates added a 117 checkout in the final leg of a 9-4 triumph for Indian Inn over Grenville whilst Yates' teammates Jack Botterill threw a 180 for the Stoke village side.


Queen and Constitution claimed a 9-4 triumph over Kings Tamerton to sign off their season with a win whilst Queens Arms defeated Octagon by the same score line.



Octagon's Simon Washington will face off against Kings Tamerton's Richard Lynch and Robbie Bisgrove of the Ker St B in a three way third place playoff in the singles table after all three finished with a respectable 26 wins.


Mike Parker and Kenny Lake lit up their respective team's night in Pennycross's 11-2 defeat to Brewery Tap with Parker hitting the game's only maximum whilst Lake produced a fine 80 checkout.


In Brewery Tap's second rearranged game, they defeated Mainstone 8-5 to end in a respectable fifth place whilst Queens Arms signed off their campaign with a win by the same score over Ker St B.
