Marker A Treble Twenty Parker

Steve Marker proved why he is one of the most feared players around as he put thirteen ton plusses onto the scoreboard in a 10-3 win for Tradesmans B over Cherry Tree in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League.

Six of that mammoth total were plundered in a 34 dart individual game for Marker (29.44), which was the lowest of the week across all seven matches played whilst Alan James produced the game's only maximum.

Stoke Bar & Grill put up quite a fight against reigning champions Tradesmans A but still came away with an 8-5 defeat.

The Stonehouse team had Jayden Dodd to largely thank for the result as he racked up eleven ton plusses on the night and was well supported by Mike O'Brien who heard a ton or more called ten times.

Steve Harris' 80 bettered a 70 checkout from Alex Brown (27.81) who also won his individual game in 36 darts for the second best game of the week and fourth lowest of the season.

Simon Washington (24.41) put away his 1001 singles leg in just 41 darts for Octagon who handed Indian Inn their first defeat of the campaign by 7-6 score line.

Octagon built a 5-1 lead before Indian came roaring back to make it 6-6 going into the last game won by Dave Wyatt, who had to survive a Jordan Turner maximum to claim the spoils.

Grenville continued their promising start the new campaign with an 9-4 triumph away at Ker St A whilst Ker St B suffered the same fate as their stablemates in their visit to Mainstone.

Victory Inn made it two wins from two starts with a steady 8-5 success over Royal Naval Arms whilst newcomers King Billy A fell to three-way joint leaders Kings Tamerton by a 10-3 deficit.
