Magic Mike Dominates St Levans Win

Mike Pearce (30.06) produced a truly stunning performance for St Levans in an impressive 9-2 Steve Chapman 501 League win over Octagon.

Pearce plundered his 3-0 individual success with legs in 15, 17 and 18 darts with one of a trio maximums personally and one of two ton plus checkouts he plundered on the night coming in that particular game.

Pearce's 126 kill bettered his previous 114 combo with all of those moments of magic ticking his ton tally over to the fifteen mark.

Pearce also teamed with Matt Pearce for a 21 dart 601 leg in the doubles phase whilst Tex Pearce also showed his class in the individual phase.

Tex Pearce (30.67) actually finished with a better average than his brother with his legs in 14 and 15 darts contributing to that alongside his team's fourth maximum of the matchup overall.

Alfie Ford was the only member of the visiting party to put up sustained resistance to the Keyham outfit as he walked away from the oche on eleven tons for his evening's work.

Mark Hatherley heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than fifteen times but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 score line as Indian Inn were downed by Cherry Tree C.

Steve Mills added a 17 dart leg for the victorious home side whilst other highlights came from the arms of Dave Lee and Nick Miller who added a 108 checkout and a 180 respectively.

A topsy-turvy battle between Bluebird and Bar Mez came down to a last leg battle between the two best players on display with Jack McMinn's Compton side succumbing Lee Rodmell's visitors 6-5.

Rodmell ended his night with thirteen scores of a ton or more and a 3-2 victory over McMinn who fired fourteen tons overall, including the highest checkout of 110.

The 180s in the match were shared as McMinn's teammate Alan Masters added to an effort by Rodmell's stablemate Paul Tackle.

AJ Brunton impressive for Victory Hammers with twelve tons as the designated home side for the night were narrowly defeated 6-5 by stablemates Victory A in the Victory derby match.

Brunton's teammate Lee Lagor paired with Kay Whiting-O'Brien put away a 601 leg in the doubles in just 18 darts whilst the former added two maximums in that 2-1 win.

Quinton Taylor was impressive for the victors with a 105 checkout topping off his ton tally to the eleven mark whilst Tony Tasker was almost as equally impressive with ten three figure scores.

An 11-0 win for Fawn B at Duchy was dominated by the scoring of John Mann who nailed twelve scores of a ton or more.

Mann added a 106 checkout to his tally and was well supported by Andy Bates and Luke Johnson who put up eleven and ten tons each.

Mann's 15 dart leg came in one of five 3-0 individual wins whilst the only moment of magic from the hosts saw Aiden Down added the game's only maximum.

Frankie Stout top scored for King Billy with a 180 topping up his personal ton tally to eleven during a 7-4 win over Cherry Tree A.

Stout was joined by Antony Hayman in achieving eleven tons whilst Andrew Cook's two maximums left him on ten scores of a ton or more.

Stout added the first of three 17 dart legs in a 3-1 individual defeat whilst Dan Brazier matched that feat for the defeated side in a 3-0 success.

Hayman checked in 18 during his 3-0 win whilst Cook became the third member of the 17 darter club with a solitary leg secured after throwing that many darts in his 3-0 success.

Paul Gavican's ten ton haul for Cherry Tree B in a 10-1 win over Tradesmans was propped up by one of the three maximums and a 130 checkout that was the best of the match, and of the week across all fixtures.

Scott Wapshott his support role well with ten tons of his own whilst the other 180s in the game went to Mark Shears and Jason Pinkerton for the leaders.

Dave Johns two maximums was joined by one more from Paul Palmer as Kings Arms secured an impressive 10-1 win during their visit to Ivybridge CC.

Mark Yeoman's 106 checkout was the best of all twenty-five finishes in the game whilst Johns' 14 dart leg proved to be crucial.

The aforementioned leg came in a 3-2 win whilst teammate Paul Hendy went two visits longer into one leg in his 3-0 win as he nailed a leg in 17.

Cleo Trelease fired a 180 for Victory Hammers but that wasn't enough to see her side over the line as Cherry Tree D won 7-4 overall.

Stephen Towl's 100 finish was the only three figure outshot of the contest, which gave him the high checkout honours to go with the spoils of war for his visiting team.

A 118 checkout by Jason Smout helped Beacon Park pick up their sixth win of the campaign in a visit to Fawn A that ended 7-4.
