Like A Matt Out Of Hell

Matt Anderson fired an unbeaten 150 checkout in the first week of play in the Plymouth City Super League Division B during an 8-3 success for Fawn B at St Levans.

Anderson's teammate Mark Sargeant performed well with the only 180 of the game the best of his consistent scoring.

Newcomers Cherry Tree D started their life in the big league with an 11-0 whitewash win over Duchy B that was dominated by the scoring of Nick Bryant.

Bryant added eleven tons to the scoreboard whilst teammate Stan Preen showed there's plenty of life in the old dog yet with a magnificent 78 combination out that was the best of the match.

Jacob Bentham was the main catalyst behind a 6-5 win for Legends Lounge in their visit to Victory as Bentham put ten tons onto the scoreboard.

Bentham was also hero of the final game as Bentham claimed a 3-1 win over Kev Marshall who himself plundered the only maximum of the contest.

Marshall's teammate Chris Beale checked 77 in a single visit and that effort was only bettered by Sean Burkitt for the visitors who bagged a three dart combination of 111.

Mick Bingham lit up the scoreboard with ten tons for Victoria but still found himself on the wrong side of a 7-4 defeat as Hyde Park were triumphant in game week one.

Bingham's teammate Gary Eaton showed flashes of genius with a 15 darter and a 180 in his 3-1 win whilst James Duke's 88 finish wasn't bettered by any of the twelve on display.

Paul Freeman showed his class with ten tons, a 94 checkout and a 180 during a 6-5 win over Kings Arms A for Kings Tamerton B that was won by Gareth Harper 3-0 with the scores tied at 5-5.

Kings Tamerton A's highlights in their 9-2 win at Keyham Vaults were an 18 darter by Danny Hoyle and a maximum from Pat Blight whilst a 6-5 win for Duchy A against Cherry Tree B was steered home by Jack Heath.
