Lewis Star Byrne-ing Bright
A huge checkout of 142 from Lewis Byrne helped him to a 7-2 win over Nathan Langdon in the Legends Lounge Premier League 3.
Langdon did put up the only 180s of the contest with a brace but succumbed to exactly the same score line in a 7-2 turnaround for Tommy Graham.
Graham added a 92 checkout and a 180 to that affair whilst Danny Perryman sits comfortably atop the standings after his 7-1 win over Nick Furneaux.
Perryman found two maximums to go alongside a 120 checkout in that affair whilst Neil White was a 7-0 winner over James Ewing thanks in part to a 100 finish.
In Premier League 2, a duo of 180s was thrown down by John Mann in a 7-0 win over Lee Hunter who had lost 7-3 to Dave Lee in his first game.
Lee himself came unstuck against James Nicholls 7-5 and Nicholls continued his unbeaten start to the season with a 7-5 success over Dan Jewell in which both players hit ton plus checkouts.
Jewell's 108 kills narrowly bettered a 100 from Nicholls whilst Hunter dusted himself off from his two losses to come out a 7-3 winner with the best of Hunter's seven checkouts coming in the form of a 103 combination.
Jewell added a 180 in a 7-1 defeat of Del Bryce which also saw Bryce nail himself a three treble visit of his own in the heavy loss.
Darren Smith's 140 three dart out shot came in a 7-0 win over Tom Wilson and he made it two from two with a 7-2 triumph over Jack Duffy.
Paul Palmer sits amongst the chasing pack after his 7-4 win over Frankie Stout that saw a three dart finish of 118 for the victor.
In Premier League 1, Lee Hellings matched Byrne's aforementioned checkout of 142 and added a 180 to that in a 7-0 win over John Woolven-Allen.
Scott Wapshott lost for the first time this season after falling to a 7-5 defeat at the hands of Steve Mills whilst Dan Giles defeated Dave Reed 7-2.
Chris Edgecombe occupies second spot just one point behind Wapshott after his 7-0 win over Kelly Burkitt that also contained a 180.
Jayden Dodd is still in the mix for top spot after his 7-4 win over Chris Adams that saw finishes of 115 and 112 for the victor whilst Adams fired back a maximum in that contest.
