Knocking On Evans Door

Lugger B recovered from 2-0 and 4-2 down to win the eleventh a final rubber at Legends Lounge OGs, with Mike Evans the hero in the Plymouth Open League Division A.



Evans fired a 180 in his 2-0 win whilst teammate Keith Johnson added a second for his team to go alongside a 102 checkout that was only bettered a 118 from Carl Bradshaw for the defeated side.


Liam Donovan won a last leg decider 2-1 for Prince Maurice in a 6-5 win against St Levans who had Mark Hopkins adding a maximum.



Mark Williams was in top form for Victory during a 9-2 win at Falstaff with Williams adding a 96 checkout to one of the two maximums in the game.


Teammate Neil White fired the other 180 in the match whilst Ryan Horn checked 100 at the first time of asking for the defeated team in one of the two points the team won.



Last year's champions Beacon Park have taken the lead from the Southway team after that loss with a 9-2 success over Prince Maurice FC that was littered with highlights.


A 180 a piece was added by each team as Nick Bryant countered a solitary maximum by Scott Hill whilst Bryant's teammate Keith Carter checked 117 in a single visit.



Lugger A continue their strong start with a 7-4 win over Fawn A whilst Pennycross were downed 7-4 by Weston Mill Oak Villa.


Eleven tons by Tyler Borthwick wasn't enough to arrest St Johnston B's slide to an 8-3 loss at Mainstone A whilst there was a 180 for each side in Fortescue's 7-4 win at Ker St C.



Lee Medway plundered for the visitors from Mutley and Neil Page added a three treble visit for the defeated team whilst St Johnston A were 7-4 winners over Cherry Tree B.


In Division B, Leaders Ker St B won 8-3 at Agaton A but it was the defeated team who provided all of the highlights as Jason Francis and Oliver Swabey added a 180 and 81 checkout respectively.



Liam Bradley fired a 180 and a leg in 16 but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat as Legends Lounge B were downed 7-4 by Cherry Tree A whilst Duchy were 9-2 home winners over Tap & Barrel.


Fawn B made it four wins from four starts in an 8-3 success over Ker St A with John Leyreloup's 180 and a 88 Yvette Ward checkout the main highlights.



Keith Nicholls won a last leg shootout for Albemarle who defeated Herbert 6-5 in spite of Harley Adams 76 checkout whilst Bluebird were 9-2 winners at Shakespeare and Mainstone B won 8-3 at King Billy B.


King Billy A edged Weston Mill 6-5 thanks to Ben Webb who netted a 2-0 win in the eleventh tie of the contest with the scores tied 5-5 proceeding it whilst Kings Arms were 6-5 victors over Cherry Tree C.
