Kings Don't Cook Back In Anger To Claim Win

Andrew Cook lit up King Billy's 6-5 away defeat against Kings Arms with fourteen scores of a ton or more; a total that included the only maximum of the game in the Steve Chapman 501 League clash.

With the scores tied at 5-5, Dave Johns kept his nerve to run out a 3-0 winner thanks to legs in 15 and 18 darts, as well as a 118 combination finish.

Simon Washington's thirteen three figure scores helped Octagon get over the line in a 6-5 triumph at St Levans.

Washington's 180 and leg in 18 darts did the damage in his 3-1 individual win whilst Harry MacGregor put his team's only maximum onto the scoreboard.

The leg Mike Pearce won in that Washington defeat came in just 15 darts whilst there was a ton plus finish for each side as Tex Pearce's 105 had to settle for second best of the matchup.

Jayden Dodd's 115 for the visitors gave him the biggest finish of the game and he also matched Pearce's 15 darter during his 3-0 triumph to give Dodd a high checkout and least number of darts combo.

Dan Brazier's thirteen ton bonanza led Cherry Tree to a solid 6-5 win in their visit to Bar Mez, during which there was no fewer than six maximums.

Paul Tackle, who Brazier downed 3-2 in the singles - thanks in part to a leg in 17 - threw two of the quintet of 180s whilst teammate Dave Burford also added a brace.

That pair topped Tackle's individual ton tally up to thirteen three figure scores whilst Brazier's teammates Luke Beard and James Ewing heard 180 called after they were throwing once each.

Ewing capped his night with a 601 pairs win that was finished in just 17 darts alongside partner Brazier whilst the best leg over the 501 distance was thrown by Dave Lee in 18 darts during his 3-1 success.

Lewis Byrne's thirteen tons couldn't arrest the Ker St's slide to a 6-5 defeat as Victory Hammers claimed only their second win of the campaign.

Billy Evans and Jason Pinkerton were the main protagonists in Victory C's 6-5 win over leaders, reigning champions and previously unbeaten Fawn B.

The pair put twelve tons onto the scoreboard each with Pinkerton claiming the lion's share of three maximums between the two sparing partners.

Evans magnificent 153 finish was the highest of the contest overall, which came in a spell that allowed the Honicknowle side to build a 4-1 lead going into the singles.

As the score line suggests, it wasn't all one way traffic as Lee Agar put eleven tons onto the board whilst teammate Andy Bates threw ten of his own.

Fred Goldsmith's 180 started a mini revival in the individual phase, but there was too much to do against an inspired second placed side who claimed the win with two singles rubbers to spare.

Scott Lawrey's 180 topped his personal ton tally up to eleven as his Victory A side ran out comfortable 11-0 winners over Indian Inn.

Other notable moments in the game came from the arms of Paul Goundry and Quinton Taylor who nailed a 15 dart leg and a 93 finish respectively.

Mark Sargeant's single visit combination outshot of 90 was the only moment of magic during a 9-2 win for Fawn A in their home contest against Duchy Of Cornwall.
