Kieran Burn-ing The Midnight Oil

Kieran Burns' (27.81) showed his undoubted class in the Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League with a fine 36 dart 1001 individual success in a 7-6 defeat for King Billy against Falstaff.

Burns completed a ten ton personal haul within that singles triumph with his second ton plus score coming in the form of a maximum.

Mike O'Brien fired ten tons for Tradesmans A in a 9-4 win over Windmill that saw the title challengers complete three games of 1001 in thirteen visits to the board.

O'Brien teamed with Andrew Nation and Mike Hill (26.34) to put away their trebles in 38 darts before Nation (25.67) went on to check 79 in a single visit during his singles that was completed in 39.

Cam O'Brien (25.67) heard 'game shot' called after throwing 39 darts in his 1001 individual win for Mainstone during an 8-5 team loss at Pennycross.

Dave Gamble and Ian Targett showed moments of magic for the home victors with an 85 checkout and the game's only maximum respectively.

The best of all twelve checkouts in a 12-1 win for Legends Lounge at Weston Mill Oak Villa was Steve Ebsworth's 97 kill.

One of the two maximums in Tradesmans B's 10-2 success over Ker St was claimed by Nick Bromley in a 40 dart doubles pairing with Dave Young (25.03).

Young added the highest checkout of the week of 125 to his night's work to win his individuals before Rob May added the second maximum for his team in another singles point for the visitors.
