Keep Calm When Harry's On

Harry MacGregor fired twelve tons in Plymouth City Super League's Division B but remarkably still found himself on the wrong end of a 9-2 loss as St Levans were downed by Fawn B.

MacGregor also showed he was equally competent in the finishing stage of legs with an 84 checkout that was the best amongst his fellow cohort.

That effort however settled for second best in the match as Mark Sargeant added a 120 for the victorious home side to a 180 from teammate Steve Dobson.

A 10-1 win for Cherry Tree D at Duchy B was dominated by the scoring power scoring of Nick Bryant who added a maximum to his twelve ton haul.

Bryant's teammate Keith Johnson added a 98 checkout that was the only effort to better a 74 from Wayne Pike who was his team's only victor with a 3-2 singles success.

Simon Wilbraham bagged himself three maximums on his way to ten tons, but his decent play couldn't arrest Legends Lounge's slide to a 6-5 loss against Victory.

Phil Hoskin was the hero of the hour for the away side with a 3-0 singles win that occurred when playing last in the individual phase with the scores tied at 5-5.

Hoskin's win contained his team's only maximum whilst teammate Jason Goldsmith bagged a 90 checkout to go alongside a 72 by Will Broome for the defeated team.

A 6-5 win for Victoria over Hyde Park saw a player from each team meander to ten tons as Mick Bingham and Bob Wood both contributed.

Wood's tally was ticked over to that mark by two of the four maximums in the game whilst Bingham also added a 180 to his total.

Wood's teammate Lee Dennis nailed the fourth maximum in the game whilst Ben Welsh had his finishing boots on in a 2-0 doubles win.

Welsh found checkouts of 96 and 105 in the 2-0 win whilst the game was decided by Steve Williams' 3-0 singles win in the final singles rubber.

A Danny Hoyle 136 three dart combination out shot was the best checkout across both divisions of the league and that effort came in a 10-1 win over Herbert.

The only moment of magic for the defeated team came from the arm of Liam Bradeley who checked 96 in a single visit.

Four 180s rained down from Cherry Tree B players Logan Carroll, Paul Hoare, Kev Doel and Tony Reid, which aided their 9-2 win over Duchy A.

Heather Toney showed her class with a fine combination out shot of 87 that was the best of all thirty-five checkouts in the game whilst Kings Arms A were 8-3 winners over Kings Tamerton B.
