John Is Trades-Mann

John Mann's eighteen ton plus haul in the Monday Premier League was the undoubted stimulant behind Tradesmans 10-1 win over Victory B.

Mann's total was topped up by a brace of 180s, as well as a game high checkout of 138 that bettered two other ton plus out shots secured in the match by Mann's teammates.

Lee Agar racked up a 130 checkout to go alongside his maximum whilst a 102 single visit kill from Andy Bates was the cherry on top of a ten ton personally tally.

Other 180s in the match were fired in by Jaden Whitting and Scott Cook, who succumbed to Mann in the individual phase 3-2, despite some excellent play.

Cook added a 17 dart leg whilst Mann's 16 darter in that particular matchup proved to be crucial in deciding the outcome of the point.

Fred Goldsmith was also in wonderful finishing form with legs of 18 and 16 darts during a 3-1 success over Paul Goundry whose only leg came in 16 darts.

Bates (28.90) produced the best individual average as his 3-0 individual win was done for inside eighteen visits to the board with two 18 darters followed by a leg in 16.

Whilst the score line and action suggests it was all one way traffic, both Cook and teammate Paul Gavican did end the disappointing night on ten ton plusses.

Remarkably, two more players ended the very same evening on eighteen ton plusses as Andrew Cook and Glenn Halford achieved this feat in a 7-4 win for Cook's King Billy at Halford's Bluebird C.

Both pushed each other to those totals with Cook coming out a 3-2 winner over Halford in the individual phase of play.

Cook also claimed the highest checkout of the match with an 84 whilst the only maximum of the match went to Cook's teammate Antony Hayman.

Jack McMinn's fifteen ton plus haul pushed his Bluebird A side in the right direction of a 7-4 triumph over Victory C.

Alan Masters twelve tons included two 180s whilst Cleo Trelease finished her evening on a notable twelve tons as well.

Masters form wasn't curtailed to the scoring phase with the shortest completed leg of a 3-0 win finished off in just 16 darts for the best of the match.

Dale Halford bagged himself thirteen ton plusses, which ultimately provided the catalyst for Bluebird B to claim a 6-5 win over Colebrook.

Halford also netted one leg in 16 darts during a 3-0 singles win whilst Wayne Oddie and Jamie Roberts showed moments of magic for the Compton side.

Oddie checked 121 in a single visit and joined Roberts in hitting a maximum, but as the score line suggests, it wasn't all one way traffic.

Nathan Langdon put twelve tons onto the scoreboard for the Plympton based outfit and John Woolven-Allen checked one leg at the very first time of asking from 110.

Jayden Dodd top scored for Octagon A who eventually won a topsy-turvy battle with Cherry Tree B by a 6-5 score.

Lee Hellings was also prominent in the win with three maximums on his way to ten ton plusses whilst teammate Paul Palmer struck at the first time of asking from 114 to take the high checkout honours.

Individually, Hellings (27.83) 3-0 win was the best amongst his stablemates with legs of 17 and 18 darts helping towards that display.

That performance was only bettered in the match by George Beckett (30.06) who also won by a 3-0 score line but his legs came in 18, 18 and 14 darts.

Marc Webber was also clinical in the ending of legs with 16 and 18 darts his best during his 3-0 win; all before Alfie Ford won 3-0 with the scores tied at 5-5.

Lee Wyatt and Scott Lawrey claimed ten tons a piece for each side as Victory A defeated Indian Inn 6-5 in a match that also saw two brilliant legs from the pair.

Lawrey finished one leg in a 3-0 win just 13 darts and Wyatt's 3-1 success was accented by a 15 darter whilst three ton plus finishes were also thrown by the players.

The third best came from Quinton Taylor with a 114 with Alan Rowe's 124 settling for second place in the evening's finishing stakes.

That's because Rowe's teammate Harry Bull pulled off a magnificent 130 checkout to give him the best of this particular match.

Paul Freeman and Matt Nicholson added ten tons each; totals that took Cherry Tree A to a 7-4 success over Octagon B.

Freeman (28.90) won his singles with a 100 out shot and legs of 15 and 17 darts whilst Octagon's Steve Jones and Chris Edgcumbe's moments of magic came in the form of a 115 checkout and a 180 respectively.
