John Is Billy's Top Mann
The King Billy A are now seven points clear at the top of the Steve Chapman 501 League after whitewashing the Fawn A.

This owed much to the form of John Mann (32.67) blitz in his singles in 13,15,18 whilst also recording twelve ton plusses, two of which were maximums, and setting a highest checkout of the season so far with a 153 kill.
It wasn't all the John Mann show with Alec Turner winning legs in 16 and 19, Andrew Nation taking out a 110 finish, and Andrew Cook (10xTs) all prominent for the Billy Boys.
The only positive in a difficult night for the visitors was Mark Sargeant's maximum.
One hundred and nine three figure scores were banged in between the Victory A and the Octagon in a marvellous encounter, which the latter took 6-5.
The Octagon very quickly raced into a 4-0 lead in a spell that included the first of six 180s on the night for the Stonehouse side with Lee Hellings (12xTs) troubling the scorer in the second doubles.

All other maximums came in games the Octagon would go on to lose as the Victory roared back with Alfie Ford (12xTs), Dave Pethick notching and three for Lewis Dare (16xTs) in five legs.
Kieran Burns (14xTs) was also prominent for 'The Occy' but the respectability in the score line owes much to the prowess of Paul Goundry (13xTs), Maria O'Brien (11xTs) and Darren Collis (10xTs).
Joint second now and the only other undefeated team are the St Levans who took eight from their visit to the Kings Arms.
Tex Pearce (12xTs) and Shaun Dring (11xTs) were prominent for the Keyham team, with two of their tons coming from 116 and 100 checkouts respectively.
Youngster Matt Pearce also showed his talents with two maximums, a feat shared by Paul Palmer for the home side.

Teammate Tony Teal also showed his undoubted class with the highest checkout of the night, a 122, and a 15 dart singles leg.
A point further back and also 8-3 winners at the Cherry Tree, The King Billy B, had Mark Shears (29.47) in top form throughout, winning in 16,17,18 and banging in fifteen three figure scores.
Shears also claimed two of three maximums for the Devonport side, the other of which went to teammate Scott Wapshott.

The Fawn B and Torpoint Cons were both 10-1 winners against the Victory B and Indian A respectively.
Paddy Archibald's 104 and Paul Takle's maximum were highlights for the Torpoint side whilst despite the result, the Victory B had three maximums with two for Danny Allen and one for Ryan Harris.
