Jason Is No Weakest Pink

Fifteen ton plusses for Jason Pinkerton helped his side claim a 9-2 Steve Chapman 501 League win in the Victory derby as C bettered A.

Pinkerton was one of four 180 hitters for his team as Danny Allen, Billy Evans and Mark Shears all contributed to that particular total.

Allen supported Pinkerton well with ten tons whilst the man who Pinkerton defeated 3-2 in the individual phase, Quinton Taylor, also added ten tons to the scoreboard for his evening's work.

Mike and Tex Pearce were in vintage form during St Levans 7-4 win over Indian Inn as the brothers amassed twenty-five ton plusses between them.

Mike was the main protagonist with fourteen of those; a haul that included an out shot of 100 whilst Tex claimed eleven including the game's only two maximums.

Mark Hatherley's thirteen three figure scores for the Indian included a 102 checkout that claimed the high checkout honours whilst Mike Pearce's 15 darter in his 3-1 win was the best thrown in the contest.

Two 180s from John Mann tipped his ton total over to twelve in Fawn B's 11-0 win over Victory Hammers that gives them a nine point advantage in the title race with just six to play.

Fred Goldsmith added another 180 for his team whilst Lee Agar produced a masterclass in ton plus finishing during the match.

Agar's own 101 checkout was only bettered by a 142 he threw in the same 3-0 individual success; the latter giving him the highest checkout honours across all fixtures played.

Mann and teammate Whitting both added 18 dart legs during their 3-0 wins with Whitting also adding a 16 darter to his success.

Mann also joined teammate Andy Bates in putting away a leg in 15 darts with Bates' coming in a 3-1 personal triumph.

Jayden Dodd helped Octagon to a 9-2 win in their visit to Victory D in which Dodd produced no fewer than twelve ton plusses.

Teammate Nick Dodd added a 16 darter in his 3-1 triumph; a leg that was blown away by a remarkable leg in just 11 for Chris Beale in a 3-1 win that was helped along by the game's only maximum.

Three players added eleven tons to the proceedings in Kings Arms 10-1 win over Fawn A as Paul Palmer joined teammates Paul Hendy and Simon Washington.

Palmer's total was accented by a brace of 180s whilst Washington helped himself to a sole maximum and Hendy's 119 checkout took the best of the match.

The one-upmanship between the trio continued in the individuals as Hendy's 18 darter in his 3-2 win was bettered by a leg in 17 from Washington in a 3-1 triumph.

However, those were all usurped by Palmer who added a best of the evening 16 darter in his 3-1 win in the penultimate game of the evening.

Five 180s for the current champions King Billy helped them secure all eleven points on offer against Firkin Doghouse.

Antony Hayman joined Alec Turner in achieving a brace of maximums whilst Scott Cook added the final effort with all of those coming in the individual phase of play.

The game started like a train for the Devonport side as Andrew Cook teamed with Scott Wapshott and Hayman (34.83) for an 801 trebles in just 23 darts.

Turner's 17 darter in his 3-0 singles triumph was the best of the singles whilst the only leg the defeated team won came from a 96 checkout for Pete Phillips in a 3-1 loss to Hayman; bettering an 86 kill from Wapshott.

Bar Mez visit from the other side of the Torpoint ferry to Duchy ended with an 8-3 victory that puts them on eight wins from twenty starts.
