Hoare's Paul-tential Unlocked

Paul Hoare fired the top finish of the week of 126 for Cherry Tree B to help them secure a 6-5 win at Fawn B in the Plymouth City Super League Division B.



His teammates Logan Carroll and Kev Doel helped the team to victory with two maximums whilst Hoare's finish usurped a 114 by Matt Anderson for the defeated team.


Tex Pearce heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than thirteen times but still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss at St Levans were downed by Legends Lounge in the final tie of the contest.



Pearce's heroics were not curtailed to the scoring phase of play as he nailed checkouts of 108 and 102, which sat nicely alongside an 18 darter that came in a 3-0 individual success.


The home team's main contribution to the affair was a 70 combination out by Sean Burkitt and a 180 by teammate Will Broome whilst the game was settled by Del Bryce in a 3-0 singles success.



Nick Bryant once again stole the limelight for the now confirmed champions Cherry Tree D with thirteen tons that led his team to a 9-2 triumph over Victoria.


On what was an difficult night for the travelling party, Seth Thompson did provide some solace with the only three treble visit of the contest.



Twelve ton plusses rained down from the arm of Dave Roberts in Fawn A's local Derby win over Hyde Park Social Club.


Roberts was a 3-2 winner in the individual phase and had to show all of his fighting spirit with checkouts of 106 and 105 providing him with the platform to claim the narrowest of triumphs.



Martin Dean and Chris Hanwell fired 180s, which sat nicely alongside Gary Hoyle's 80 and a 91 from Nick Bromley in Kings Tamerton A's 8-3 win over Duchy A.


Rob May fired a 116 checkout but still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss as Duchy B were downed by Kings Tamerton B.



John Goodall showed good moments for the victors with a 180 and a 92 finish before Matt Nicholson steered his team home with a 3-0 win in the final singles rubber.


The only moment of magic in Kings Arms A's 10-1 win over Herbert was a 72 combination checkout by Pete Down for the victors.
