Hoare Paul-ishing His Skills

Paul Hoare laid on fifteen scores of a ton or more for Cherry Tree B in their 9-2 triumph over Victoria in the Plymouth City Super League Division B.

One of the two points yielded by the visitors from Plymstock came in a doubles game that saw Mick Bingham pick up the highest checkout of the week across both divisions.

Bingham's magnificent 144 three dart combination out shot gave him that particular highlight of what was otherwise a difficult night for the defeated team.

Nick Bryant's tally of twelve scores of a ton or more helped leaders Cherry Tree D to a 7-4 win in their visit to Hyde Park.

Bryant might have produced the biggest number of tons, but it was the hosts that fired both 180s as Lee Dennis and Ben Welsh were both maximum hitters.

Welsh also added a 14 dart leg to his 180 that came in a 3-0 singles win whilst there was a respectable checkout from each side.

Tel Lane's 70 kill came in a trebles match whilst Bob Wood fired a 95 that helped the defeated team to a doubles win.

Alan Brady heard scores of a ton or more called twelve times during Fawn B's 7-4 win over Duchy A that contained three decent moments at the business end of legs.

Brady's teammate Mike Bassett fired a 76 kill that gave him a checkout that was one better than a 75 from Rob Wills.

Ryan Ring was a 3-0 winner in the individual phase for the unsuccessful away side with a leg in 16 darts his and the contest's best.

No fewer than three maximums ticked Reg Matthews' ton tally over to the ten mark for Fawn A who put a title marker down in an 11-0 win over Duchy B.

Matthews' teammate Dave Pethick nailed a 94 checkout that was the best finish of a match which saw the visitors from Greenbank take all but two legs on offer.

Kings Tamerton A had Phil Hoyle in good nick as he added ten tons during a 7-4 win for the hosts over St Levans.

Hoyle was one of three 180 hitters in the match as Danny Hoyle added another for the victors whilst John Sturdy added his team's only three treble visit.

Danny Hoyle showed his competence in the finishing part of the game with a 93 combination that was the only finish to better an 80 from Tex Pearce for the opposition.

Kings Arms A were 7-4 winners over Victory in a match that saw Pete Dunbar fire a 94 checkout for the home side and Chris Beale combine three darts for a 103 kill.

An 83 checkout from Adey Veale couldn't arrest Herbert's slide to an 8-3 loss at the hands of Legends Lounge who had Simon Wilbraham checking 76.
