Hellings Finishing On A Different Lee-vel

Lee Hellings habit of hitting a top of the shop 170 checkout continued as he nailed the highest possible finish in an 11-0 Steve Chapman 501 League win for Cherry Tree C at Duchy.

Teammate Steve Mills added a 102 combination that paled into insignificance compared to Hellings effort whilst Nick Miller stole the show in the scoring phase of play.

Miller's twelve was almost matched by stablemate Nick Bryant who ended his impressive night on eleven for the away side.

Bryant added the game's only 180 to his ton total whilst Miller also contributed the best of 501 in the matchup with an 18 darter in a 3-1 triumph.

The scoring phase of play was dominated by Tex Pearce who top scored with fourteen three figure visits in a 6-5 loss for St Levans versus Octagon.

Pearce's tally was topped up to that mark by a 109 checkout whilst Mike Pearce was the only 180 hitter on his way to a fine thirteen ton plusses.

Dave Pethick ended his night on ten tons whilst Jayden Dodd power scored his way throughout the match with a top scoring eleven tons for the victors.

The platform from which Tex Pearce built his 3-1 win came in the form of legs in 15 and 16 darts whilst Mike Pearce showed his class with an 3-0 win that contained 14 and 16 darters.

Dodd however had the last laugh with his eleventh game win that saw Dodd dominate his opponent thanks to legs in 15 and 17 darts during a 3-1 success.

The trio of Fred Goldsmith, Jack McMinn and John Mann all added thirteen tons to the scoreboard in an 11-0 success at Firkin Scholar.

Goldsmith's tally was topped up by two of the four maxis in the game as Mann joined Simon Washington in adding solitary three treble visits.

At the business end of legs, Dave Matthews showed his class with a 122 three dart check whilst Goldsmith added a 15 dart leg on his way to a 3-0 triumph.

Thirteen tons from Cameron O'Brien and eleven more by Martin Pearson couldn't arrest Cherry Tree D's slide to a 6-5 loss at the hands of Tradesmans.

Nick Bromley's 109 combination out shot gave him a 3-2 win whilst the hero of the hour was Andy Waters who helped his nerve at 5-5 to see his team home with a 3-0 success that contained a 17 darter.

A twelve ton haul from Tom Full included two of the seven maximums nailed to the board by the two teams in a 7-4 win for Bar Mez at Kings Arms.

Lee Rodmell was the main protagonist in the 180 scoring with a trio whilst Archie Bolasse added a solitary maxi to Paul Hendy's three treble visit, which was the only effort of its kind for the defeated team.

Rodmell also dominated the finishing phase of play with a 14 dart leg in his 3-0 triumph and his teammate Paul Tackle showed his prowess with a 112 checkout.

Andrew Cook added a maximum to his ten ton plus personal tally to lead King Billy to a 10-1 triumph at Fawn A.

Ryan Carter made it one maximum per team with his team's single effort of its kind whilst the least number of darts honours were also shared between the two outfits.

Scott Cook bagged himself an 18 dart leg in a 3-1 success whilst Mark Sargeant was defeated by the same score line in spite of a leg in 17.

As many as five maximums were shared between Cherry Tree B and Victory A, which ended 6-5 to the visitors from Honicknowle.

Jason Pinkerton added two maximums to 180s by Phil Hoyle, Paul Gavican and Tony Tasker whilst two of the four individual games popped off the results page.

There was an 18 dart leg for each competitor as Jason Pinkerton narrowly bested Scott Lawrey 3-2 whilst Hoyle's only leg in his 3-1 defeat was a 17 darter.

Paul Goundry, who defeated Hoyle, claimed the best leg of 501 of the contest with a leg finished in just 15 darts and five completed visits to the board.

Indian Inn were 6-5 winners against Beacon Park as a 180 each from Louis Yates, Beau Carter and Tom Baker all added to an entertaining affair.

Carter's 18 dart leg gave him the platform to put away his singles opponent 3-0, and that was only bettered by Ian Heggie for the victors.

Heggie was a 3-1 winner thanks in part to a leg in 17 whilst teammate Mark Hatherley showed effective finishing with a single visit combo of 120.

Victory Hammers dominated the 180 statistics with a trio including efforts by Cleo Trelease, Kieron Leay and James King, but still found themselves on the wrong end of a 9-2 defeated versus Cherry Tree A.

Trelease produced the form that has saw her win Devon honours with a 16 darter in her 3-1 win that sat nicely alongside the aforementioned three treble visit.

A 94 checkout from AJ Brunton and a Wil Lefort 180 were the best highlights of a 9-2 triumph for Brunton's Victory Fireballs over Lefort's The Exchange.
