Glyn Well-ies His Old Adversary

The highlight of an 11-2 Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League win for Victory at Windmill was a Glyn Wells (27.05) 1001 individual success over Steve Marker in just 37 darts.

That game saw one of the two maximums Wells added in the match and won the prize for the least number of darts both in the match, and the game week.

A trio of 180s for the visitors - who are still ten off the lead - was rounded off by a three treble visit by Wells' teammate Jordan Grimshaw.

Paul Sanders (25.67) heard 'game shot' called after throwing 39 darts for the best game of leaders Kings Tamerton's 11-2 home win over Weston Mill Oak Villa.

Two 180s were plundered by the potential champions with Ty Carthy and Jason Farrell both added to a solitary effort by Kevin Ching for the defeated visitors.

A three dart combination out shot by Simon Washington was another highlight for the top team in the league who hold ten and sixteen point leads over their nearest rivals.

The trio of Richard Wheatley, Andy Waters and Andrew Nation (25.67) bagged themselves a 39 darter in a trebles win that came in a 12-1 win for Tradesmans A over Pennycross.

Waters was the only man who heard '180' called after throwing for his side whilst Steve Lamerton added a maximum for the visitors.

The icing on top of Mike O'Brien's eleven ton tally for the title chasers was 110 combination checkout that was the highest of all twelve finishes in the match, as well as the week across all fixtures.

Dave Jarvis (24.41) produced some magic for Falstaff in a 9-4 home win over Legends Lounge that saw him finish his individual game in just 41 darts.

Jarvis matched a 76 checkout by Sean Taylor for the visitors with Taylor ending his night on ten tons despite seeing his team defeated whilst Octagon's visit to Cherry Tree ended in a 9-4 triumph.

Kieran Burns was an eleven ton hitter for King Billy but the Devonport team still missed out on victory as Mainstone had Cam O'Brien winning with the scores tied at 6-6 going into the final singles for a 7-6 success.
