Ebsworth Stretch-ing The Limits

A new highest checkout mark for the season in the Louis Yates Plymouth and District Darts League of 164 was set by Kings Tamerton's Steve Ebsworth in an 8-5 win at fellow title chasing Tradesmans.

Ebsworth was partly responsible for the best game of the contest with a 38 darter when pairing with Ty Carthy for a 26.34 single dart average.

Carthy ended his night as the joint best aggressor with eleven tons across the contest whilst Jayden Dodd matched that tally for the defeated side.

Individual leader Jamie Sandford (27.81) checked the best leg of 1001 in the game week with a 36 darter for Cattedown in an 11-2 win at Stoke Inn A.

Whilst the score line was one sided, the 180s in the game were shared as Sandford's teammate Matt Legge joined Peter Wafer in achieving that particular feat.

Steve Harris and Ryan Horn (26.34) combined to put away 1001 points in 38 darts with Horn nailing a 180 in that contest whilst teammate Alex Brown added a 76 combination out to the victors highlight reel.

Jordan Grimshaw (25.67) rattled home his individual game in just 39 darts, which was the main highlight of Royal Naval Arms' 11-2 win over Pennycross.

Cameron O'Brien showed his class with ten tons for Mainstone but those efforts couldn't arrest his team's slide to an 11-2 loss in a visit to Falstaff.

Andrew White's 75 checkout helped Octagon A to a 9-4 win at Legends Lounge whilst King Billy were 11-2 better than Cherry Tree.
