Dan Display Jewell In Clifton Win
Dan Jewell put twelve scores of a ton or more onto the scoreboard in the Plymouth City Super League Division B for Clifton to help fire his team to a 7-4 success over Duchy A.
Kev Seal and Cory Jonas were also prominent for the visitors from Greenbank with ten tons each whilst Wayne Town's ten ton tally was propped up by a 104 checkout.
Town (25.47) swiftly ripped through his 3-0 singles win with a leg in 18 his best and Seal netted himself a 17 darter in another 3-0 success whilst Jonas' 180 was the only effort of it's kind.
Twelve tons from Simon Stevenson pushed Cornwall Gate closer to the Division B league title as that total helped his team to an 8-3 win at Cherry Tree B.
Stevenson plundered a 15 darter in his 3-0 individual success whilst Tony Reid's 78 checkout was the best provided by all twelve on display.
The highest checkout of the week came in a 9-2 win for St Levans during their visit to Kings Arms A as Anna Pearce put away that total at the first time of asking.
A 77 checkout from Lee Dennis provided the only noteworthy contribution by both teams as Hyde Park bested Duchy B 6-5 whilst Victoria took a 6-5 win from their home match with Ker St.
In Division A, the only game played saw Legends Lounge keep up their slim title hopes with a 9-2 win over Indian as Scott Wapshott top scored with thirteen tons.
Ant Pearn was also in good nick with eleven ton plusses whilst the pair also contributed to the three maximums between the two sides.
Pearn and Wapshott's 180s were joined by a solitary effort by Harry Bull whilst Wapshott's 3-0 singles win was lit up by legs in 17 and 16 darts.
