Champs Up For Title Fight

Reigning Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League champions Tradesmans A took full advantage of their title rivals Kings Tamerton's bye week with an emphatic 13-0 win over bottom side Ker St.

The win that was dominated by the form of Mike O'Brien, who plundered eleven tons, means the Stonehouse outfit sit fifteen off the top with thirteen extra for which to play.

O'Brien wasn't the only member of the victors to shine with Jayden Dodd and Andy Waters adding 180s to Mike Hill's 78 combination out shot.

Kieran Burns and Harry McFerran shone for King Billy who claimed a 7-6 win over Pennycross with the pair both adding ten tons each.

McFerran (28.60) also managed the least number of darts for both the match and game week with a 35 dart 1001 leg in his individual game.

180s appeared to make the difference in a narrow 7-6 win for Legends Lounge in their visit to Windmill with Del Bryce and teammate Tommy Graham both adding 180s for the victors.

Lew Byrne added a 180 for the defeated team whilst Graham also led the way at the business end of legs with a 109 checkout that was joined by a 125 from the same arm to claim the highest checkout of the week.

Teammate Steve Ebsworth had to settle for third best for finishes with his 98 three dart combination out shot a third high checkout for the St Budeaux visitors.

Rob May heard 'game shot' called at the first time of asking from 117 but still found himself on the wrong end of an 8-5 score line as Tradesmans B were downed by Victory.

Matt Abbott put the only moment of magic onto the scoreboard for the Honicknowle side with the solitary 180 from the entire matchup whilst Mainstone were 10-3 winners at Cattedown Social Club.

Ryan Horn was a 180 hitter for Falstaff who bested Octagon 10-3 whilst Chris Lancaster's 180 highlighted Weston Mill Oak Villa's first win of the season in a 9-4 win at Cherry Tree that saw Dan Nixon check 82.
