Carter Takes Bit Between His Keith

Keith Carter and Nick Bryant both put ten tons onto the scoreboard in a high class Plymouth Open League Division A contest between Beacon Park and Falstaff A that ended in a 6-5 win for the former.

The Southway side might've lost the war, but they did win the battle of the 180s as Andy Tremaine joined Alex Brown in achieving a maximum each.

That haul usurped the solitary effort from Phil Hoyle which helped leave the third placed team sixteen points off the top with twenty-two more to play for than leaders Victory, thanks to two games in hand.

A Mark Williams 64 checkout and a 180 from Kev Hulcoop were the main highlights as Williams Victory defeated St Johnston A 9-2.

Three maximums lit up Lugger A's 9-2 win as Richard Wheatley and Simon Wilbraham both added one each in riposte to a Will Broome effort for the defeated Prince Maurice.

Ker St C might've had Lewis Byrne hitting the game's only maximum, but they still fell to Weston Mill Oak Villa by an 8-3 score line.

Kieran Harris contribution to Cherry Tree B's 7-4 home win against St Johnston B included one of the two maximums on the night.

Tyler Borthwick fired the other for the defeated side whilst Scott Harris checked 88 in a single visit whilst Borthwick's teammate Brian Lumsdon fired a 17 darter in his 2-0 individual success.

Fortescue's Cody Rees-Williams was the hero of the hour in a 6-5 win over Ker St A that came down to the final singles that Rees-Williams won 2-0.

Peter White's 180 sat nicely alongside a Gareth Hockings 102 checkout as Lugger B won a Devonport derby match 8-3 away at King Billy B.

That cut leaders Legends Lounge's lead by one, but the St Budeaux outfit still hold an eight point advantage after a 7-4 win over Mainstone A that featured a Carl Bradshaw 180.

Jason Bruce fired a 150 checkout as Duchy defeated Ker St D 7-4 whilst Cherry Tree A bettered Falstaff B by the same score line.

Jack Wilkinson starred for Prince Maurice FC with a maximum and an 83 checkout during a 7-4 home success over Pennycross.

Dave Jones put a maximum onto the scoreboard but still found himself on the wrong side of a narrow defeat as Ker St D were downed 7-4 by Fawn.
