Burns Fires Another LND

Kieran Burns' (31.28) 32 dart 1001 leg during a 7-6 defeat for Burns' King Billy at home against Tradesmans B was the best leg of the week and joint second best of the Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League so far.

That leg was finished with an 86 checkout which was the best of the match, whilst the youngster was also his team's only 180 hitter with David Young adding a three treble effort for the triumphant visitors.

Alex Brown (28.60) fired a 35 dart leg in an 8-5 success for Falstaff over Victory who themselves had Jordan Grimshaw in his usual majestic form.

Grimshaw (28.60) matched Brown's 1001 effort in the singles phase whilst the damage to Victory's title ambitions was done by Brown and teammate Chris Hooper who both reached ten tons for their night's work.

Hooper's tally was ticked his tally over to the ten mark with a 106 combination out that was the best of game week 18 whilst half of Brown's total came in that aforementioned win.

Matt Legge's ten ton tally helped Grenville claim a 7-6 home triumph over Windmill; a game that came down to a Shane Menaghan singles win with the scores tied at 6-6.

Windmill's Steve Marker certainly left his mark on the game with the only two maximums of the topsy-turvy contest that saw the home side hold leads of 3-0, 5-2 and 6-4 before getting over the line.

There was a 180 from either side during Kings Tamerton's 10-3 win over Octagon with Simon Washington and Paul Barclay both firing.

Dan Nixon's 102 checkout and a 180 from Del Bryce were the main highlight's of a 7-6 win for Nixon's Cherry Tree over Bryce's Legends Lounge.

Andy Marshall was the home side's hero of the hour after he steered his team home to victory with the scores tied at 6-6 whilst in the final fixture of the week, Pennycross claimed an 11-2 success over bottom side Ker St.
