Bryant Performance Cherry On Top Of Win

Cherry Tree D continued their brilliant start to the new Plymouth City Super League Division B campaign with a 10-1 home success over Kings Arms A.

Nick Bryant was at the heart of everything that the Pennycross outfit did well with a maximum on his way to top scoring with twelve ton plusses.

Bryant's 95 checkout was the best finish of the contest whilst his 14 dart leg of 501 in a 3-0 individual success wasn't bettered by any of the competitors on display.

Teammate Stan Preen showed there is plenty of life in the old dog with ten ton plusses for the home side who top the standings with twenty-one from twenty-two points despite playing a game less than their rivals.

The Kings Tamerton derby was dominated by the scoring of Paul Freeman with ten tons, but it was Freeman's B side that ended on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat against their A team.

Danny Hoyle showed sparks of magic with a 3-0 success that contained a 180 and a 14 dart leg whilst teammate Phil Hoyle also found a maximum of his own for the successful outfit.

Tex Pearce led St Levans to a 10-1 home success against Duchy B with a ten ton personal haul that included both of the maximums in the game.

Pearce (29.47) was breath-taking in the individual phase with legs in 15 and 16 darts whilst teammate and wife Anna Pearce plundered an 80 checkout that had to settle for second in the checkout honours.

First spot went to Beth Falconer who dispatched 84 at the first time of asking for the defeated side in a 3-1 individual victory that was the only point her team garnered.

A 10-1 win for joint top Cherry Tree B at Keyham Vaults that was dominated by two maximums from Paul Hoare and a 96 from Heather Toney that was the highest finish of the week across all second tier fixtures.

Steve Williams fired a checkout of 80 for Victoria to help the away side to an 8-3 triumph in their visit to Duchy B.
