Bryant Nick's It Up A Notch

Nick Bryant's (28.36) star shone brighter than all twelve on display in Cherry Tree C's 9-2 Steve Chapman 501 League victory over Victory Hammers with a magnificent 15 darter that helped him to a 3-0 individual win.

Bryant ended that game and his night on fifteen scores of a ton or more whilst teammates Lewis Dare and Lee Hellings also showed their undoubted class in the clash.

Dare fired legs in 14 and 17 darts in his 3-0 success to added to his 180 earlier on in the contest whilst Hellings bagged a brace of 17 darters in another 3-0 turnaround.

The only moment of magic for the defeated team came from the arm of Kieran Leay who nailed a 118 checkout in a 2-0 doubles triumph.

An 11-0 win for runaway leaders Fawn B over Beacon Park saw John Mann (27.83) win 3-0 thanks in part to legs in 17 and 18 darts.

Fred Goldsmith added a second leg in 17 for the victors in his 3-0 singles win whilst the duo both ended the night on eleven tons each whilst Andy Bates also scored well with ten tons.

Mann's tally was propped up by one of the three maximums during the affair with the other two coming from the arm of Sean Taylor.

Mark Shears (25.05) produced an 18 dart leg in a fabulous 3-0 win during Cherry Tree B's 8-3 success at St Levans.

Shears' teammate Mike Whatley lit up proceedings with his consistent scoring efforts yielding a sixteen ton haul.

Shears' 18 darter wasn't the only one of it's kind as Whatley nailed a second of the game, which proved crucial in a 3-2 triumph.

Whatley was supported well in the scoring phase by Phil Hoyle who put up ten scores of a ton or more whilst the only maximum of the game went to Scott Wapshott.

Top scorer for the defeated home side was Tex Pearce who meandered his way to a personal haul of ten ton plusses.

Neal Walters (24.64) starred in all disciplines of Victory Fireballs 7-4 win over Fawn A as he secured a 180 and a 110 checkout in a fine singles 3-0 win, which topped his ton tally up to the ten mark.

Scott Cook and Jack McMinn shared thirty tons equally between them in a 7-4 win for Cook's King Billy over McMinn's Bluebird.

The two clashed in a breath-taking singles encounter that McMinn won by the odd leg in five but not before Cook could check a 15 dart leg and 120 in a single visit.

McMinn's 100 out shot would be the final dagger in the heart of Cook who had put on the game's only maximum and a ton finish of his own in a 2-1 doubles success on which McMinn was on the receiving end.

Those aforementioned finishes would settle for second and third best in the matchup though as Andrew Cook expertly put away 144 for the best of the combinations in the contest.

McMinn's teammate Alan Masters also showed why he is revered with twelve tons overall to go alongside two 18 dart legs during a 3-0 singles success.

James Ewing finished his night with thirteen scores of a ton of more but still found himself on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss as Cherry Tree A were downed by Tradesmans.

Ewing was one of four 180 hitters in the game as teammate Simon Wilbraham added to efforts from Lewis Byrne and Rob May for the visitors.

Ewing showed his competence in the finishing side of the game with his 79 checkout joined by a leg in 17 darts during a 3-1 success.

Mark Hatherley fired an eleven ton haul that included the game's only 180 but that haul couldn't arrest Indian Inn's slide to an 8-3 loss at the hands of Bar Mez.

Paul Tackle led the way for the visitors from Torpoint with ten tons whilst Hatherley produced a 76 checkout and a 14 dart leg that proved crucial in a 3-2 singles triumph.

A 10-1 win for Victory A over Cherry Tree D saw '180' called three times after a trio of players threw their darts as Paul Goundry and Scott Lawrey struck for the successful home side.

Jacob Bentham added the only three treble visit for the defeated away side whilst Bentham added a 17 dart leg in his 3-1 singles defeat to Paddy Archibald.

Archibald's leg in 17 of his own helped him to that triumph whilst Quinton Taylor's 3-1 victory was helped along by a leg in 16 darts and a 115 combination out.

Kelvin Rowe's 3-1 individual success was lit up by a leg in 18 darts, which further exerted the dominance of the Honicknowle outfit.

Three 180s highlighted Octagon's 11-0 win over Ivybridge CC with the lion's share of two coming from Chris Edgecombe.

Edgecombe's teammate Alfie Ford netted himself the third three treble visit whilst Robbie Bisgrove and Jayden Dodd impressed at the business end of legs.

Bisgrove's contribution was a 95 checkout whilst Dodd's 17 dart leg was the best leg of 501 in the match and came in a 3-0 individual triumph.

Dave Johns 90 checkout was the only moment of magic for Kings Arms as they secured a 10-1 triumph over Duchy.
