Bryant Keeps Cherry On Top

Nick Bryant's power scoring in the Plymouth City Super League Division B was once again a catalyst for now champions elect Cherry Tree D's 7-4 success over second placed Fawn A.

Bryant was well supported by Keith Johnson who nailed eleven tons to his name but as the score line suggests, it certainly wasn't all one way traffic.

Dave Roberts chipped in with thirteen three figure visits whilst teammate Mark Hempsall was an eleven ton hitter whilst Roberts tally was topped up by one of the two maximums in the game as well as a 102 kill.

Stan Preen added the other 180 and his teammates Keith Carter blew away Roberts' finish with a 144 of his own.

At the business end of legs, the body shots continued to be traded starting with Mike Trim and Dave Pethick's 16 dart leg over the 601 doubles distance.

Johnson was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to the best leg of 501, which came in just 13 darts in the excellent contest between far and away the two top teams in the division.

A 6-5 win for Kings Tamerton A at Cherry Tree B was settled by a Tom Graham 3-1 individual success in which Graham nestled a 15 darter.

Graham's 84 combination out was only bettered by an 86 from Alex Truscott for the defeated home side whilst the 180s in the game shared.

Graham's stablemate Danny Hoyle added to an three treble visit to the board from Truscott's Kev Doel to make it one apiece for the two teams.

Tex Pearce dominated St Levans 8-3 win over Kings Arms A with checkouts 130 and 116, the latter of which came in a 3-0 singles win that also had an 18 darter.

Pearce's teammate Hayley Brant added the only maximum of the contest whilst Pete Down's 75 combination kill was the only moment of magic for the visitors.

Victoria's 7-4 home win over Fawn B was heavily contributed to by 180s from the duo of Gary Eaton and Will Collard.

Their teammate Seth Thompson notched a 90 finish which was only bettered by a 94 from Matt Anderson for the defeated away side.

Checkouts of 97 from Ben Welsh and a 126 by Andy Hawes helped Hyde Park over the line to a 6-5 success in their contest at Kings Tamerton B.

Two moments of magic from Legends Lounge gave them a platform from which to build an 8-3 win at Duchy A as James Ewing and Sean Taylor added a 116 kill and a 16 darter in respective 3-0 individual triumphs.

A solitary 180 from the arm of Phil Ingram was the only noteworthy contribution to Victory's 10-1 triumph over Duchy B.
