Bryant Gives Champs Nick In The Right Direction

The most notable highlight of the second week's play in the Plymouth Open League Division A came from the arm of Nick Bryant for champions Beacon Park in a 9-2 win over Fawn B.

Bryant bagged himself a fine 13 darter in a 2-0 singles win that included a maximum and teammate Arthur Pearce's 86 checkout was the best of all twenty finishes in the matchup.

180s by Andy Tremaine and Chris Hooper joined a 100 checkout by Alex Brown during a 7-4 win for Falstaff over Cherry Tree B.

Ty Carthy bagged himself a 16 darter in a 9-2 defeat for Ker St C at home against Weston Mill Oak Villa and Legends Lounge OGs were downed by St Johnston B by an 8-3 score line.

Victory's 7-4 win at Prince Maurice was lit up by an 80 checkout by Neil White but the main highlights went to the defeated home side.

Will Broome's 101 checkout bettered White's finish whilst Broome's teammate Andy Barlow added the only maximum of the game.

A checkout of 88 by Cameron O'Brien was the highlight of a 6-5 defeat for Mainstone A against St Levans that came down to the last leg.

Fletcher Stephens was the Keyham outfit's hero of the hour with a 2-1 win in the eleventh and final rubber to give the visitors the spoils.

Brad Hamlyn's 180 lit up the scoreboard but wasn't enough to arrest the slide of Pennycross to a 7-4 loss against Prince Maurice FC.

Checkouts of 108 and 98 were put up by Mike Evans and Jordan Angear respectively as Evans' Lugger B defeated Angear's Fortescue 8-3.

St Johnston A won as many points as they hit maximums after Gary Jeavons hit a 180 in a 10-1 defeat to Lugger A.

Marc Mills fired a three treble visit in riposte for the victors whilst a 98 checkout from Richard Wheatley gave him the highest checkout of the matchup.

Ker St B top Division B after a 10-1 win over Kings Arms whilst Mark Langdon fired the only 180 but still found himself on the wrong end of a 9-2 defeat as Legends Lounge B were downed by King Billy A.

Mark Lashbrook added a maximum for Cherry Tree A who made it two wins from two starts with a 7-4 home success over Tap & Barrel and Agaton A were 9-2 victors over King Billy B.

Kian Nation checked 80 in a single visit in an 8-3 win for Cherry Tree C over Albemarle whilst Bluebird were 9-2 winners at Duchy and Mainstone B were 8-3 victory at Shakespeare.

Weston Mill Hotel made it two wins from two starts with an accomplished 8-3 win over Ker St A whilst the same could be said of newcomers Fawn B who also won 8-3 at home versus The Herbert.
