Bing-credible Performance From Mick

Mick Bingham produced eleven scores of a ton or more for Victoria in the Plymouth City Super League Division B but still found himself on the the wrong end of a 7-4 loss as Kings Arms A downed their local rivals.

Bingham was a 3-0 winner in the individual phase with a 17 dart leg his best whilst his opponent Mike Sant had earlier fired magic in the finishing straight of one leg.

Sant's 93 combination out shot was only bettered by a 94 from teammate Harvey Nicholson, which helped him to a 3-1 individual triumph.

Ten tons from Tom Graham for Kings Tamerton A included one of the two maximums in a 10-1 win for the home side against Duchy B.

Danny Hoyle also heard '180' called after throwing whilst there was a notable checkout for each side with teammate Chris Hanwell's 98 narrowly bettering a 91 from Ian Langdon.

Ten tons rained down from the arm of AJ Brunton, which led Victory to a 9-2 away win at Herbert that featured two 180s and a notable 19 dart 601 leg.

Brunton teamed with Phil Ingram for that doubles success whilst Ingram joined Phil Hoskin in producing a three treble visit.

Cherry Tree B had Lewis Byrne and Paul Hoare in good form as they blew the title race wide open by inflicting Cherry Tree D's second loss of the campaign by a 7-4 score line.

Hoare added a 111 checkout to Byrne's 114 combination out whilst Byrne plundered a 180 to sit alongside a maxi by Nick Bryant.

Those checkouts had to settle for second and third best of the week to Matt Nicholson's 119 combo in the league's weekly standings, which came in a 7-4 loss for Kings Tamerton B at St Levans.

The victors had Tex Pearce in good form with a 90 single visit kill his best effort of the night for the Keyham side who are top of five teams separated by six points in the race for sixth spot.

Fawn A narrowly missed out on ending the night on top of the league after a 9-2 success at Duchy A put them just one point behind the leaders.

Three checkouts in the mid nineties did the damage as a Reg Matthews combination of 94 took second best in the tie for the visitors.

A Mike Trim 95 was matched by teammate Bill Scannell in the big win that could prove crucial going into the home straight of a fascinating battle for the second tier bragging rights.

All of the 180s in the heavy defeat came from the defeated side as the pair of Dave Graham and Jack Heath both knocked in maxis to put some shine on a disappointing night.

Hyde Park surrendered a 3-0 lead to eventually succumb to a 6-5 loss that was inflicted by a Mark Sargeant 3-0 individual win for Fawn B in the final singles rubber.

The two main highlights in the contest came from the defeated team as Lee Dennis and Bob Wood added a 180 and 85 checkout respectively.
