Billy Boyz Up For P&D Title Fight

A 12-1 success for King Billy over Cherry Tree keeps them on the coat tails of leaders Tradesmans A in the early Plymouth and District Friday Darts League standings.

Kieran Burns is leading the charge for his team with eleven tons whilst teammates Harry McFerran and Josh McTighe checked 130 and 117 respectively for the two biggest finishes of the week.

Jordan Grimshaw (27.05) took a share of the week's least number of darts honours with a 1001 leg in 37 in Victory Inn's 11-2 triumph over Ker St B.

Matt Abbott's ten ton haul in that win was accented by his 106 checkout that claimed the best out shot of this particular match.

Abbott also joined Glyn Wells in adding a 180 to the scoreboard in the win that helps the Honicknowle team climb the standings after a poor start.

Sharing the lowest number of darts with Grimshaw were the entire Tradesmans A side who checked the team game in 37 darts for a 27.05 average.

That started the ball rolling on a 10-3 win for the leaders over Kings Tamerton with Andy Nation was arguably the best performing individual.

Nation added a 110 checkout to one of three maximums in the match with teammate Jayden Dodd and John Brownlow adding one 180 each.

Mike Parker's 180 couldn't arrest Pennycross' slide to an 8-5 defeat at the hands of Ker St A who pick up their second win of the seven match old campaign.

Stoke Bar Grill's Dave Jarvis (25.03) and Octagon's Steve Daley (25.03) shared the shortest game in a tightly contested 7-6 win for the former.

With the scores locked at 6-6, Jarvis' leg proved the deciding tie of the match after both him and Simon Washington had both added 180s to the scoreboard earlier in the game.

Sid Hurrell's 180 was the only noteworthy contribution from either side in a 7-6 Mainstone win over Indian that saw Vern Lavers win the game at 6-6.
